Bye Bye BMW...

Ah christ not this again :(
Heavy handed mod wades in and stirs things up!

As for the comment about SA being worse! What rubbish that is lol. It's modded quite well imo.

The XF is fantastic, can see why you chose it. The colour combo will look great too, just like Robbie posted a pic of.

You see, i'd still say that to him in person, i'd just do it with a wry smile to let him know that it's not meant insultingly. :)

As for the car, I don't like anything other than dark colours inside a car so black on black is no problem to me.

Yes he is in my oppinion, no one should be called an idiot for an opinnion.

But do you agree your oppinion could have been put across in a way that was worded in a way thats not such a negative vibe? I certainly think it could be. :)

The OP didn't appear to take offence to it, as I've said. I could have worded it better, but I really can't be doing with thinking up replies for hours to ensure that I don't upset people.

Robbie, thanks for the pic, it does look a lot better than most black interiors in my opinion.

Whilst the interior isn't bad, it is just very bland in those colours. :( Same as a BMW with Black interior with alu parts.

Of course, but other people reading may have, I just feel some people conduct themselves differently online than they would in person.

The hostility needs to be toned down a bit, which needs to happen!

These forums grew so big because they are a place where people could come to chat and not worry about been attacked/insulted, but there are some members who really try those limits and have been allowed to do so.

The issue I would raise here is that there has never been a time when Motors (and Cars and Bikes before it) has been a realm of fluffy bunnies, cuddles and sugar coated opinion.

It's always been a place with freshing honesty - if somebody doesnt like something, they tell you.

As it's never been any different its pretty clear that the way it hasn't been a barrier to anything, really.

I honestly don't think I was particularly insulting. I stated my opinion - that it was an uninspiring colour choice - because thats what I thought. You'll note I went on to later clarify what I thought of the XF and put my opinions in context BEFORE the moderating team intervention.

Valkia - I've removed your post, your a moderator and your post are very poor conduct for a person of your status, do not do it again!

Not really got issue with your post Fox and I don't want anything sugar coated, we rightfully so don't want the fluffy bunnies and dreamers here, but at the same time I don't want things to look hostile to new comers.

I say conduct yourself on a forum as you would in person, that normally involves a certain degree of politeness and just because this is an internet forum it should really be no different.

You've met me on numerous occasions Gibbo, so you know this is exactly what I do :)

btw: My car is a bland and uninspiring colour as well :D

Bland colours are a bugbear of mine - simply because shopping for this sort of car is always a challenge becuase most of them are black or silver with black and silver interiors. It's a real shame, as there are so many great colour options out there :(

I ended up with silver, black and silver simply because its all there was for sale :(

I've removed his post, so it needs to stop there, thread is going off topic.

No more comments are insults, idiots and attacks please. Lets talk about Jags and keep thread on topic!

I can only really comment on the looks of the car as I've not driven one, so can't really say 'awesome choice in car' because I don't know that to be true as I've not experienced it...hence my initial comment, which can be seen as to be hostile, BUT the OP didn't take it that way as everyone can see, so no reason for others to take it that way and have a go.

I suspect it is a brilliant choice in car, in fact when I read that the OP tried the A5 I was a bit confused because I didn't think it was much if any bigger than the 3 series. I'm glad the OP went for something he likes though and that he is/has had brilliant service from Jag.
