That's a stupid question really because you don't even read what other people write based on some of the things you post.

If you go back and read and understand my post you'll see that I answered your misinformed post with actual facts. Not with hearsay and assumptions.
 
Thought I'd come back to the game after 6 months, and it's nice to see the steam integration now.

Hopefully playing on the 360 pad is better now, as I always don't want to bring out my wheel.

Looking forward to giving it a try, any mods etc that I should be looking out for?

I think someone made a telemetry app for smart phones with the new api.
someone on the wmd forum just told me
look for a thread with "profiler" in its name, in the API section of the forum: it exports telemetry of the game and makes beautiful graphs of it.
Note that you'll have to activate the "use shared data" option in the gameplay options menu.

which might be useful for comparing where your losing time compared to others

other than that I don't think there really are any yet just the sweetfx configs some people use for better colours and lighting (those realistic screenshots that probably don't look like your game are all using sweet fx)

BTW the fps drop from using sweet fx for me is 0

yea but you have to select which frequently the updates are and choose the one that matchs your toolkit.

or you will end up downloading the manager daily build and not be able to play again until the next friday if you are a full member etc
 
I haven't played this in a while, but today I found the "View Category" button. I didn't realise just how fantastic this game looks until I toggled through all the cinematic views! Preaching to the Choir but screenshots are amazing. 1920 1080s in spoiler.

You could jump in the Lotus 49 around Watkins and pretend you are playing iRacing? :p

Last time I tried the handling on some cars wasn't too bad although some were terrible and it changes weekly so its a bit hard to say how things feel.
 
been playing the latest builds and I think the helmet cam is fantastic. The BAC mono handles very well, so do most of the classic lotus cars. Good to see progress on the Mercs, seems they have been working on the tracks, but still a lot of work to be done.

The handling with a 360 gamepad is ok if you turn on a lot of the assists. You'll need to set the handling to novice mode unless using a wheel, very easy to spin on track , hitting a kerb and putting too much power down if you aren't far enough into the apex will see you in the kitty litter which I'm happy to say results in you loosing a lot of time.. so that works well. No idea how this tire model works, do your tires go off, as I did a 20 lap race on the same tire, no pits as they don't work lol

Be interesting to see how it develops over the coming months. The AI is still woeful mind. guess they aren't working on that at the moment...
 
Slightly Mad Studios has agreed to stop raising money for its crowdfunded racing sim Project CARS following the intervention of the UK's financial services watchdog.

Following an investigation into the deal by the Financial Conduct Authority, a new agreement has been reached. Slightly Mad Studios will no longer allow people to put money into Project CARS through World of Mass Development.

In addition, those who backed the game will be entitled to a full refund, should they decide they no longer wish to be involved.

Those who do claim a refund will no longer have access to new builds of Project CARS. They will not receive a slice of any profits that might be made by the game.

There is no time limit on claiming a refund.

Ian Bell from Slightly Mad Studios (responsible for pCARS) responds to article.

"We'll be reopening the investments with some minor tweaks very soon given that we've now cleared things with the FSA. Users will be able to invest in the PS4 and XBox One versions and will get all of the associated benefits including regular PC builds."

Is there a way to get more than 30 seconds of replay with this, and if they can be saved? I'd like to show a couple of laps in one and save it as a standalone video file if possible.

I know if you do a race you can replay the entire race. Whether or not you can save it I'm not sure.

Probably better to just use FRAPs or similar while you are playing. The replay feature in pCARS is a bit buggy at the moment anyway.
