*******C.A.R.S - Community Assisted Race Sim*********

Still on the fence, do want to have a play with it but i think it sounds like a lost cause without a steering wheel which is understandable for this type of racer

Im using a wired xbox 360 pad and not got any issues. All the cars have their unique handling properties like cars do in real life.
Yeah the menus at present are easier to use with a mouse but the gameplay is fine with a pad, not sure why this is getting a bad rep.

Ps my bro who I race with is a wheel abd pedal user and our races are still very close.

Oh this sounds ok then! Do the menus fully support the controller though? Thinking about playing through my telly if i do go for it

Pad support BTW guys has been drastically improved with latest patch. Also, AMD users or any GPU I guess you can run the game in a window but borders appear.

SMS have not provided a triple buffer windowless border mode etc..

No problems -

use this, set to window mode, turn off v sync and provided you've got aero turned on for your desktop game will triple buffer and no v sync lag on the controller.

Works very well.

TBH guys, the PC version of this game is at the moment the best way to play this game, the PS4 version I've played has many issues which I'm sure the Devs will fix but if you want to buy the game and not sure about gamepad - I can confirm since patch 1.3 etc game is fine on Pc with a gamepad.

You don't need to buy a wheel to enjoy this game.

Use a DS4 pad, and use the trackpad on the DS4 as a mouse etc.. As you can't quit the game with controller, its a x at the top of the screen - SMS removed quit by controller some months back and haven't added it back in.

But a PS4 DS4 works just fine. Job sorted. As the DS4 trackpad acts as a Windows mouse and pointer.

I fully agree with all you said.

I mainly play with a pad and think the experience is superb and each vehicle does indeed handle differently as one expects.

What details do you need to add me to the whitelist, I would like to play on a server were people who mess up there Qualifying lap don't then try mess up others peoples

I think I'll only trust these key seller sites for single games without any DLC. Been stung with G2Play.... purchased what said included the Modified Car Pack and never received it!

I contacted CS and sent them proof I hadn't received the pack. They are quick at replying but when even they don't know where the keys are coming from, it doesn't look too good. The last message I got back was:

"Dear Harold,

We regret to infom you that we recieved faulty keys from our our merchant and are unable to send you the Modified Car Pack.

As compensation we can offer you either this 5% discount code or €2 refund in balance.

Please, choose your option in the reply.

Bobby"

I'd say avoid G2Play if it is meant to contain DLC for this game and not sure which to accept :p

I am very capable of messing up my own qualifying times :P

All I want is fun, clean racing. I suck so winning is never an option but at the same time, I do not want to spoil the fun for those better than me.

Could you post your Steam community profile link.

Also... for anyone interested.

Today

See you there.

The TS server will be in use.

You chose a grey market seller, one has no right to complain afterwards in my opinion.

Sorry if that sounds harsh.

:D I know. It's no biggie, 3 cars isn't a deal breaker. This was more just aimed at those who might be tempted to use G2Play. Just so they know they may not receive said full product.

I've always been weary about key sellers but I won't be doing it again, sorry :p

Sorry, that did not read as I thought it in my head, hopefully you understood :p

Deals can be had for a few quid more from legitimate sellers for most titles, it is a gamble but in my opinion, not worth it over a few quid.
