Is there any planned races or anything going on tonight ?

Only ask as im thinking of running the Clio's again on some uk circuits tonight, but would ideally like more than 4 people racing :-)

completely give up with this game first night I play the game fine no crashes at all the next day I try my wheel and ever since its crashing even with my wheel uninstalled. joke this game the devs are a joke too tried the steam forums got told to go to the site directly done that and no reply

So I'm still not entirely sure how all this server business works. Is it just a case of looking at the online part of the game and looking for *****ocuk_forum***** as the host? I don't get it.

Really impressed with this so far although only spent around an hour on it. The only thing noticeably lacking is the car selection. At 1080p max settings bar aa (msaa + fxaa) it does seem to give my pc a test - 75c as a max temp on both cpu and gpu although that's under the desk with a recorded temp of 28c. The sound effects in the 3rd person car view mode are amazing on some of the vehicles.

It does work by default. Obviously you can tweak if you wish once used to it.

Yea seen a few threads about best settings etc will have a look into it soon but as default it feels good, just need a decent way of using it stand/table wise as im playing in living room through tv!

Holding a smooth racing line is already much easier!

The server build is at this stage "basic" but it gets the job done.

The ingame "server browser" will only display 50 servers, these servers are filtered on region and latency.

I did post a very basic workings of the server here:
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28035301&postcount=3388

If the server is not listed above, it means that nobody is on the server and no sessions are active.

By adding the launch option as described in the link above, if you start an online game, it will automatically "latch on" to the server.

If that makes sense?

I've had the Server up on and off tonight for what must be a couple of hours all totalled up and not a single person has joined it, I even just left it while I went AFK for 20-30mins and not a single joiner, not sure if they are not seeing it or just not joining? Either way it gets pretty boring fast sitting there in the Lobby hoping others will join.

I'm also now not liking the way they have set up the Online Lobbies etc. I will be awake now through to the morning and I can't 'Play' Online because the Lobbies I can 'See' to join have dropped off from 50 to 3 or 4, not sure why I can't jump on the USA/Canada/Aus Servers which will be swarming with Players round about this time of night... The Online aspect of Project CARS is frankly disastrous and beyond a joke.

I also had some weird online stuff going on tonight where my Gearing all got screwed up so Cars would only do 80MPH in Top Gear , then I joined a server and couldn't see my Car, Camera changing did nothing, thought it was weird, went out to Qualify and for some reason 6th Gear decided it was now Reverse Gear.. Yeah that was fun until I figured out WTF was going on, then the Game crashed and decided to wipe out my entire Settings/Configuration/Career again.. *sigh*.

Doofer, I popped on late last night before bed for a couple of quick races but the ocuk server wasn't up then, instead I joined a server where I was rammed by 4 different cars every chance they got (I still won!)

I'll be around today, just give me a shout on steam.
