I had that issue had to do a full uninstall and reinstall and now it works but it still stops responding if i try to use the formula a car or the new pagani
 
Suggestion on the CARS forum worked for me:

1 - Install/patch up to 239
2 - Back-up the pCARS executable and the build.dat file
3 - Install 244 patch
4 - Copy back the 239 pCARS.exe and build.dat

You'll have a hybrid install without some of the new features but you will be able to drive the Pagani Huayra. Been running like this all day - no crashes.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't be bothered. I'll just wait for thr next build.
 
Build 245 is out for team members+

normally we wouldnt be getting the build today but this one should fix the crashing issues. it is known that choosing overcast and accelerated time still causes crashing though

build 246 has just been released for team members+ with a few more bugfixes. initial reports suggest that the crashing has been fixed :)

Team Member package is a must because you get weekly build instead of monthly, but if you want try the game out then get the junior package because if you do like that upgrade to team member.
 
Good News: New build has a tiny, little known track going by the name of Eifelwald, remarkably close to Nordschleife ;)

Bad news: Auto downloader is slooooooow. 300kbps on a 3.4gb file.
 
Auto downloaders seems a pretty poor idea, as you say pathetically slow and when there was nothing wrong with the .torrent system it seems like a backwards step as far as distributing goes. :(

Not available on Junior? I wasn't aware they locked content for us Juniors, I thought we just got builds less frequently. Sucks if true, and time to upgrade if true.

the country road tracks (azure coast and california highway) are also locked for juniors. if you plan on getting the full game after release then its definitely worth getting an upgrade to team or full member because the money you spend will be taken off the price of the game
