*******C.A.R.S - Community Assisted Race Sim*********

Having my weekly fix of CARS and noticed that the Formula A no longer shakes like a ******** dog. Really glad it's been sorted as it's by far my most favorite car to play with.

Edit: Hmm not sure if a few weeks have left me out of touch with this car or they have changed the handling. I can't seem to get around a wide corner at 50mph during a warm-up lap without the rear joining the spectators.

yeah thats the SETA tire model. you'll find some cars are undrivable now until they tweak them.

I find the best thing to do when driving the FA is to leave a little bit of throttle on when cornering. (think blown defuser :))
it is very rewarding when you hook it all up. the S's on suzuka are brilliant when you do them properly as you just play with the throttle to get around.

the STM has made all but a few cars really oversteery.

The old tire model the FA was on rails.

hope this helps

The new tyres has made some cars horribly understeery - the Radicals for example were a blast to race online but they just don't turn anymore.

The 70's and 80's F1 cars are great fun though, especially online if you can find clean racers.

Ah I see, I don't keep up to date with all the changes they are doing so it's a surprise come the weekend when it all feels different :p.

because every car is running the formula one tyre compound apart from the capri zakspeed which has its own tyres.
all the cars have accurate tyre widths like they should but the compounds are all f1 slicks so they dont handle like they should yet.

theres also a low speed bug where theres hardly any grip until aero kicks in, and the handling/tyre model is still work in progress and very early yet it should change a lot for the better before release.

a few cars are quite good but a lot of proper bad and have crap setups aswell

When they close access to buying the game, will they continue to allow current pack owners to move up the tiers?

Don't think so m8.

It appears the devs were holding out on us and a new track is pretty much ready
