cheers for that, i couldnt see anything in the track area and there didnt seem to be anything from looking at the recent dev posts, asside from a load of bitching and moaning.

Im a little disappointed its not a leak though, everything leaked is better :D

I guess theres not much to leak since everything is so open.

nice to see some more "old school" road tracks though like the original NFS scenic point to points

Yeah, they remind me of the early NFS tracks too, i just wish it didnt take me forever to learn new tracks. Its not too bad with most pCARS tracks because they've been in other games over the years, but fantasy tracks are unique and new, then make them like 10min long and its a right nightmare.

Its nice to know theres still a few more things they've got up their sleeves which they're not showing, although at the same time i do think its so much more fun seeing these things being built from the ground up, like Nordschlieffe just being a ribbon in the sky, compared to where its at now. There hasnt been that many tracks we've been able to drive while they're being made presentable, like Suzuka, and the ovals, thats pretty much it really, but just seeing development screenshots would be nice, rather than secretive releases.

Slightly Mad Studios is delighted to announce the newest contributor to Project CARS as real-life racing driver Nicolas Hamilton has joined the studio as Handling Consultant for the new title. Nicolas is an excellent fit for Project CARS as his experience combines vast knowledge from racing in the real world and roots in simulation racing, allowing him to understand both sides and effectively help Project CARS fulfil its potential.

He already set some competitive times

I'm sure he can be much more helpful than Ben Colins as well seeing as nicolas hamilton actually plays racing sims in his spare time and will have genuine interest in the project

Sorry but that's just desperate.

Everyone involved woth pCARS plays race sims in their spare time, so no qualification for him being involved from that side.

In actual fact he doesn't play race sims, he plays Codemasters' F1 games on Xbox.

As for racing experience, I've seen him three times since he started and he's no more a racing driver than any of us. At Brands Hatch a few weeks back he was awful. If other drivers hadn't have gone off he'd have been plumb last, again. The drivers that were behind him got past so easilyhe may as well havee had a sign in the back window telling them which side to pass on.

It doesnt matter if he is super slow or super fast, since he has genuine experience in racing cars he should be able to bring valuable feedback to the game. I would happily have Narain Karthikeyan or that ferrari test driver they brought in to replace Massa a few years ago on board as they could give so much useful feedback.

Also, since he often races with Lewis on sims he might be able to get Lewis to give some feedback on the Formula A, Formula B, Kart and whatever else he has used in his racing career

Another good thing would be the publicity he could bring, especially with his ties to Lewis

Narain Karthikeyan is an experienced racing driver.

Nick Hamiltion is the brother of an experienced racing driver with a father ruch enough and connected enough to get him into a racing car because he's feeling guilty about neglecting his other son.

He might bring some publicity but that's it. There are guys on this forum that have more experience than Nick Hamilton.

how to tighten up my steering in the f1 ?

have it about right now not spinning and doing a acceptable lap but i can still oversteer slide corners and i want it more tighter control

lower the steering radius in your steering wheels control panel?

looks like the 1967 GT40 MK IV
shouldnt be that far from being finished

capri got its own sound in the manager patch which most of us will get on friday

sounds pretty close to the real thing

arknor i have lowered all way to 180o

f1 car slides corners like im driving a rally car sliding in

on tight long corners im having to turn nearly full rotation of wheel but i like small very tight movement :(

Having returned to this game after over a year it looks like they have cranked up the physics calculations or something so that it no longer runs on my PC, and instead slams the CPU up to 100% and stutters :(

:emo face:

well i think im gunna give up on the game

looks great but the steering issues i have make it unsatisfying to even try and get right.

i followed every article on my wheel , tried every settings and just cant get it right probably spent more time tweaking the settings than playing :p

ever since the tyre models were changed its been goosed.

reinstalled uninstalled deleted profiles. such a shame as it seemed to have promise.

i even used bmanic s profile and it was not very good at all.

they sure have cranked up the physics. not only have they upped the physics tick rate from 180Hz to 600Hz they have upgraded the tyre model to something much more complicated

what CPU do you have?

I see no one has posted about the new track that was added in Fridays build, been trying it out today with Asano x4 and it a brilliant combo to drive with so many bumps that is in the track is makes it a challenge when on the limit. Not driven the x4 for about 4 months but it feels so much better when on the limit and the oversteer on corner exit is easier to catch as well.
