well when you are building a handling/tyre model from the ground up I guess it takes a lot of trial and error with uber slow progress before you get what people want.
with most sims you don't get to experience any of that you only see the finished or almost finished product.

You must have some faith to have kept onto your account and not tried to get a refund or sell it on.

Personally I'm not to keen on the list of car's I wish there were mostly road going cars and only a few proper racing variants :(

i am keen on the game this is where many mis judge me im just harsh on it as i do test quite a few games and its natural to point these things. also i actually like car racing games as much as anything else i play including fps games.

the game will probably be the biggest car game released bar gran turismo if they can work on the handling.


they do need to get a move on though because rumors are asseto has nailed the handling.

well kunos already had a good handling/tyre model to build on from netkar pro which I believe some f1 teams used a heavily modified version for their simulators?

Where as all SMS really had were the shift games because I think the other games they did were from before the devteam split up and went separate ways when they were known as simbin who did GTR , GTR2 etc
 
well ive finally asked for a refund just cba to keep testing the same broken stuff and it is broken,dg is right it has the potential to be an amazing game possibly the best but now talk of dlc ? the game isnt even finished? i could pick some of the things wrong in the game like engine sound gt40 focus rs etcetc are all so wrong as well as the handling sideways at 20 mph lol anyway ill look for another sim/game,just wondering about the tol packs that peeps bought if a senior member who paid over 100 euros will he still have to pay for dlc? if so thats soooo wrong
 
If the DLC rumours are true the game has pretty much shot itself in the foot before even being released. They aren't EA or Activision lol where people will buy DLC no matter what.
 
lol cant believe it just posted asking for a refund and fanbois post in" help" saying im cheeky ???????????? how is it cheeky to ask for a refund lol game isnt even half done,really makes me laugh, i hope the game does well but asking for dlc at this stage just after they get asked to explain their membership process etc

Should be easy to get rid of unless you signed up for an expensive package?
 
yes they said to people if you were not happy they would refund you.

now they are saying though that they cant refund some because its been a while since the started the alpha but DLC wasnt mentioned then and a lot are annoyed about this and wanting refunds.

if people start demanding money back now it could be quite serious for them . i think there was a watchdog called in over the payment scheme thing in first place or later on .
 
apparently im not entitled to a refund? dont remember that being in the contract ? so low, after a year,i have no entitlements typical and these small game makers wonder why they never get anywhere
 
I think the main problem is that the traditional pc sim crowd is throwing their weight just as much behind Assetto Corsa as they are this, if not more, so it's not quite evident, particularly with the the handling as it is (that said I haven't played in months, though I'm bringing out the GT3RS again to get back into it once my rig arrives), that this is going to be the PC's equivalent of Gran Turismo or Forza, and that's what it really needs to be to deliver on what it promised.
 
is that assetto preview the same demo where you have to pay to try demo or free unlocked demo as will play now :p edit nope 4.99 noooo !

there is no DLC in alpha but you love spreading BS rumours and hate.

the DLC cars are all cars that have not even been started yet they are just setting out the roadmap and asking what DLC packs people would want.

they already said the DLC cars will be ones that have expensive licenses, they are not using any of the pcars funding to make the DLC they will be funding them with s serperate campaign.

IT IS NOT A KICSTARTER STYLE PROJECT EVERYONE WILL GET A SHARE OF THE PROFITS DEPENDING ON HOW MANY COPIES THE GAME SELLS.
PEOPLE WHO SPENT 100EUROS ARE LIKELY TO SEE A 240 EURO RETURN IF THE GAME MANAGES 1MILLION SALES.

How is it wrong for people to get a copy of the game and a return on their toolpack likely to be worth much more than the toolpack cost?

the DLC isnt being made with the funding for pcars as I said already they will be separately funded.

All engine sounds are placeholders , most cars have place holder physics a few of them have the first draft physics as was explained to DG on this page in this post

people need to stop and think what alpha means and realise almost everything is unfinished and it doesnt have a complete feature set yet , once it does it will become beta.

Cars in grey would be DLC. It's just a starting point for discussion and scheduling, we obviously want to get as much in the initial release as we can.

a lot of the cars in black that would come with the game aren't even started yet and DG is trying to convince people DLC cars are in the alpha lol.....

BTW they said the dedicated server.exe would ship with the game in response to someone asking how long the servers would be up for so there will probably be mods for it anyway.

It's not just DLC they are talking about either they said pcars 2 would probably come in 2-3years with a much larger budget and also that they would like to do pcars rally, a lot of stuff is being thrown around that might not even happen

They probably wont give him a refund because of how active his account has been during that year.
some people have been banned and gotten refunds that way though but he might as well just sell his account for what he paid for it

there was a period when they would happily give refunds if your account was only a couple of months old , I had a refund on my very first account because I couldn't get on with the games handling and it didn't seem to like my wheel very much.

but that was very early on and the game has changed a lot since then and I find it very enjoyable realising I shouldn't expect a finished game yet unlike a lot of people in this thread complaining about low speed handling and engine sounds when it's very clear on the wmd forum what state each of the cars are in not many of them are past the first draft for physics and sound, most of them are still using place holder sounds and physics as I said in reponse to DG who was complaining about specific cars unaware they were only using first draft physics
