To my amazement I haven't experienced this yet...I used to get this in 1 in about every 5 maps on MW3, which was pretty annoying when playing Zombie mode, as you lose rank and all your goodies on that one.

The going theory online is that it has a vram leak issue and causing the vram usage to go over what the gpu has and crashing. I run it on pretty low settings but the game still looks god and hardly any difference from when I had it on high.

Getting fed up of this Direct X crashing.

What graphics card are you running?

I'm using a 1080ti which has been fine up until now. Rebuilt the PC a number of times for this dam game and still having the same issues. DirectX error! Updated the drivers but keeps crashing me back to desktop.

- Kept on crashing on the menu screen with a Game_Ship_Error
- Now actually get in a game, 50% Vram - 2 minutes in, Screen freezes - 10 seconds later - DirectX Error.
- Played with settings and limiting power for 1080Ti but still the same.

Can run both Superposition Performance & 3DMark without any issues.

On the same machine tried a RX580 and a 6700XT and both work without any issues?!

**Edit, I've managed to get it stable. As suggested I've set to low, I'm having to keep the V-RAM usage down to under 39% It's hovering around 35% on low details but at my native resolution 1980x1200. Not ideal, hope they patch this!

Exactly the same as mine then. Try and reduce Vram count to around 35%, Setting settings to Low / Off.

I have a 3080 as well and can run every other game at max settings fine, but as I have said since lowering the settings seems to be ok as I played all last without a crash. My friend has a 4070S with 12gb vram and it was happening with him.

Been trying out Zombies. It's good fun but hard to coordinate when nobody ever uses a mic. I tried finding pickup games on Discord but most people seem to be USA based. Haven't tried Terminus yet, only the town map.

Have yet to actually manage to exfil. Made it to around level 35 so far which I understand isn't "very high" but it gets pretty challenging at that point with multiple special enemies knocking about. I watch videos or streams and people seem to be way better at avoiding the zombies than me. I keep getting backed into corners, despite trying to run away, then knocked down pretty quickly, especially in the higher levels.

Took me quite a while to figure out that i have to "pack a punch" and also improve the rarity of my gun as a priority or it becomes effectively useless! The issue is that the resources needed to do that are scarce and appear to be shared by my entire team.

I may give it a go solo but reckon I'd really struggle past about round 20.

I'm quite impressed by how quickly people have figured out the easter eggs etc. The steps are pretty complicated, no idea how you'd come across any of it by chance.

The standalone game is £60 which is a lot , so to have this on gamepass from day 1 makes gamepass look good value if you like cod.

But would I have bought this game if it wasn’t on game pass? Probably not.

I thought I solved it - I lowered everything down to "Low" and it lasted for 3 matches, crashed as soon as I got back to menu.

I'm sure I read somewhere (possibly here) Keep V-ram usage below 37% and it won't crash.

Thanks for this. Been playing now for 45 minutes and seems good. I've set to low and FSR3 with the quality setting has reduced my Vram usage below < 30% It also looks a little better than before.

Played quite a bit last night. It's good seeing Nuke town back, feels good. Been playing with my Son. 1080ti keeps kicking me out with a DirectX error, 3-5 games, but typically just loading into the level or going back to menu.

More I play this the more something just isn't right I'm pumping full clips into folk and no death yet 2 shot I'm dead. Getting very irritating tbf. Maybe HC where I should concentrate
