Call of duty Black ops 6

loads of others have the same problem too.
Yep I'm still getting them dispite even reinstalling windows 11. Latest Bios etc.

My 7950X3D RTX3800 has never had issues on any games before and this is a widespread issue.

Sometimes you tweak a setting and it works for a couple of hours then out of the blue - freeze and Direct X error.

I don't know whats more frustrating the sweating or the freezing

Lower the game settings so you use as little vram on the graph it shows in the settings and it should be ok. I have a 3080 paired with a 7800x3d running at 1440p and since doing it I haven't had one crash with it on low and dlss on balanced. It's hardly noticeable the difference in graphics anyway.

What I don't get is like last night I had about 8 rounds and all ok. It gave me the direct x error in the winners circle when I went to press a key to emote. The vram usage never goes above 70 and I cap the frames at 90

I totally understand as it has crashed with me just starting the round as well as mid round. But after changing my settings I haven't had a crash in a week.

I don't think the devs even know how to fix it as I have seen people report this error on older cod's so its not a new thing. It seems like a vram leak or spike which isn't getting reported by the system but its there and by lowering it the leak/spike is staying within the vram limit of the gpu and not crashing.

Considering the 1080Ti seems to be on the GPU list for recommended spec I'm surprised how poorly this runs. Can't even get decent framerate at 1080p on lowest settings.

Running a Aorus 1080Ti. I'm on High details, everything is set high, running the Image sharpening as well. 1920x1200 @ 60fps.

Does anyone get one game where your gun seems to kill fast and the next it acts like a pea shooter? I literally stood in front of a player absoloutely unleashing for them to smash you in a few bullets.

I play core nuketown 24/7 at the moment and the hit reg is crazy, some games are fine im convinced that skill based damage is around.

Im prestige 5 and have been playing a lot so can generally hold my own but some lobbies are crazy.

Get the same myself. Only game which has this issue. I was on the fence with the engagement based damage, but I'm finding it hard to believe it's not a thing now.
