Possibly a jail break, with how buggy this game is, likely it gave you the wrong message.
Its slightly buggy so possibly even though he died, it released you.
There have been a few games now in duos or trios where i've died, its said the match has ended and I start spectating another team, only for one or both or my teammates to still be alive.
At this point you become a spotter as are watching another team and calling out and giving info on where they are and who they see / kill. It's interesting watching another team when your team is still alive on the opposite side of the circle.
Once I called out a specific area of airport where a guy was hiding around a corner who I was spectating. My teammate snowly approached, threw a flash around the corner and killed him easily. Poor guy must have thought my teammate was cheating when really it was me providing the info

Oh a while, Goes quite slow 35,60 ish,100,200,300 then i gave up..it was not instantly though was slow.
Not tried it today, Hopefully its not an issue.
Edit - So figured out what the issue was, I thought id try Warzone 2 on PS5 to see if it was doing the same thing there..it wasn't went back to PC tried that...still not finding a match so i went into PS5 WZ settings and see that Cross play was turned OFF...i turned it ON and now on PC i can connect fine almost immediately.
So strange it must be a bug.

I don't get that. So you set PS5 Warzone 2 from crossplay OFF > ON and that made you're Warzone 2 on PC find games?
PC I didnt think you could turn crossplay off... unless you can by setting it on the account using a PS / Xbox then going back to PC.

Yeah, you can 100% do this.
For some reason crossplay settings seem to be tied to your account. So I play Warzone/MW2 on PS5 with some friends that like crossplay off, when I go back on PC I have to launch a mode that requires crossplay like Invasion or Ground War otherwise I get the same issue.
So it does mean you can switch crossplay off on PC, you just have to own a PS5 and set it there.
How ridiculous! What's the point in hiding the option to turn off crossplay on PC account but then have it visible for the same account on consoles?

Especially when it's likely PC players who'll be more inclined to disable crossplay to reduce the number of controller players with their aimbots (sorry, aim assist)

Incidentally, I think the PolyAtomic Riot Shield camo is broken. Ten kills from behind and I did it in one game on Shipment and there's no way I killed ten people from behind.

Yeah it seems if you turn OFF Cross play on PS5 and then try to use the same account on PC you wont have a a very good time finding a match. It'll just sit there until you turn ON Cross Play via PS5 if you go back on PC.
Very Bizarre, i don't really play the game much because honestly I just don't enjoy WZ2 that much but there isn't much else to play, I'm hoping they bring back Plunder..it seems us plunder players have been totally forgotten about, Which is very frustrating because i grind that all the time back when they wasn't faffing about keep removing it in WZ1.

You use tokens to unlock each block of 5, you can go any direction you want so you can unlock certain items rather than moving across a timeline.

I see DMZ is still crashing every day. Did anyone ever find any fixes for this? Activision still have not.
The Multiplayer crashes during mapchange are no problem, but a crash in DMZ shortly before Exfil is a proper buzzkill. I'm surprised they still haven't fixed it yet.

I've not had a crash in over a month now on a heavily tweaked system, it's pretty mental how random it seems to be!
