Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

Again, I'm on the fence, but too often find the PvP gameplay pointless and toxic enough to almost put me off. And I have groups of friends who it DOES put off so simply will never touch the game.

So again, if there was simply a fenced off PvE only DMZ mode where your progress/items/characters/money etc were only for the PvE mode, bingo! And I would pay for that, and my friends would definately pay for it.
Sorry but I don't get your logic. What's it matter if you get killed by a real player rather than by AI NPC?

Because NPCs are a known/level/measured mechanic. Players are not.

eg: We were doing a mission the other day in a boat shooting down a helicopter. Two team mates were killed within seconds by players sniper from shore. I managed to escape and watched. My team mates were of course just killed down to bad luck (an enemy team of players kitted up with excellent sniper rifles who were in the wrong place at the wrong time) and just for the giggles (their bodies/gear just sat in the ocean). And indeed I often see Exfil camping and killing other players for the lolz too - eg: Players who have spent 20 minutes trying to simply enjoy the game and complete some goals/missions, simply to be killed in seconds by other players kitted up and dedicated to killing other players.

Ultimately, too much PvP is a roll of the dice of running into a team of players who get their kicks out of killing other players. They are kitted up for it and have the desire/mentallity for it. We/I do not... We/I do not enjoy dying randomly as someone elses content.

If you enjoy this aspect of the current DMZ great! And while I can just about tolerate it I know many other people who simply hate it and thus won't play - A dedicated fenced off PvE DMZ mode would solve it all. Charge for it too!

Question: If you take regular contraband weapons into the DMZ and you die, you lose those weapons, but if you take in a contraband "Blueprint Weapon" (ie: have that special sort of "A" symbol) and die do you lose that, or does that instead have a timer akin to your insured slots?

well finally caved n bought, just finished campaign, which was rather short, the fiddily bits annoyed the crap out of me,like jumping trucks or final running around crafting to get a box cutter, and even on hardened thought was bit too easy, onto mp next:cool:

i found much of the campaign very frustrating. needlessly so. not sure i'f bother with another one. Shame as i was looking forward to it. Ive played the hell out of the multiplayer though

Yeah, it was fun in parts but felt quite frustrating. It also ended really suddenly too, it seemed to ramp up and then just end out of nowhere.

In comparison to the original MW2 in 2009, it was a bit of a lack lustre campaign. MW2019's campaign was really good so it's a surprise/shame that MW2 2022 was a bit bleh.

this is one hell of a grind to get weapons you want, you have to use some terrible guns to get attachments/gun u need:(

Of all the annoying features in this game this has to be one of the most annoying.

Yeah, one of the strangest changes they ever made. I don't think anyone had an issue with the previous 'traditional' unlock method for guns (i.e. unlocked as you went up levels) and I quite liked the Black Ops 1 change where you could unlock as you went - but also use that in-game currency to purchase some weapons earlier.

Having to use a single fire battle rifle to then use the LMG to then unlock the submachine gun I actually want to use was just tedious.

Typical modern day busy work game design. It's what they threw into Elite Dangerous too that ultimately sucked the life out of it.

haven't played DMZ as of yet, using the single shot FTAC nearly drove me insane on shipment  using shipment to level up quickly. though tbf i got a merciless using holothem n smoke

You don't have to play much. Just get a friend to bring the gun you want in to the match, give it to you and extract with it. Unlocks the gun without the grind. Works for new season guns you have to grind the battle pass for otherwise too.
