calling all LOTRO players

yeah, you recruiting? ;) I like that ethos as someone who fits all your demographics and often encounters those sort of issues.

Bought the game, running my wow sub down and then loading it up. Might stagger around by myself for a while getting a grip on the game mechanics but the looking to form up for advice and assistance.

Hey guys,
I havent got off to a good start with this game :p
I've tried out a few characters and i havent really enjoyed them. So in my madness i went and deleted them (which was a bit stupid really.)
So i have a new plan, im gonna make 5 characters (classes that i think i might enjoy playing) and level them all to 10, then play the one i like most :D no more deleting of characters.
Im quite busy at the moment with exams and stuff, so ill start afresh in the next few days.
See you all ingame :)

P.S Ill post my character names up when ive made them. Ill be playing on Snowbourne.

To be honest, you really need to get a character to the late teens to get an idea what the gameplay is like for that class. By 10 you won't really see what you're in for.
 
^^ agreed, up to and around level 10 you have no trouble at all soloing most quests but to get the most enjoyment out of it really try to form or join a fellowship. When you group up you learn more about other char classes a lot quicker and it helps you develop your own whilst making a few mates along the way.

most people i know agree that you need to play to lvl 15-17 to really get a grasp of class role and skills.

diverting from the topic slightly we got the everseer to 3.8k the other night be a catastrofic main tank death-fest wiped us :P

tonight we'll be starting from the start of the rift so a nice farm of the first 5 bosses tonight means i should be trading some DKP for an armour piece (hopefully the gloves)

Or you could be just trying to log into the US website rather than the EU one?

Can someone explain something to me please, i've got a lvl 8 guardian and don't really understand how healing works (only got the trial so no manual).

I was having trouble on a quest and kept dying, but the healing salves i bought don't seem to actually do anything?

All the items you can buy are really confusing me, is there no way to take something for an instant heal mid-battle?
 
well, healing salve should heal you for 120 around that i guess. Maybe you didnt let the time for the potion to be used and it didnt heal you.

Im quite a new player myself(17 champ) i find it amazing the funny things you can do in LOTRO(try /smoke for funny times :p). Look at this vid, it's a lotro band! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4QMtvk4ihg
