This thread has been awesome but sounds to me like hes just a kid who made a bad call sending hard disks in jiffy bags, spent the money and could not pay people back.

He has clearly been shown the error of his ways however and found himself permabanned

The only thing that would make me think otherwise would be the multiple accounts but did he have those before all this kicked off or only after his main account was banned ?

From what I've gathered, he made at least one or two of those accounts at the time myself and synixx complained about receiving bad drives and asked for refunds. The other, I think pre-dated the whole affair, so who knows?

I'm sorry, but anyone who goes to Turkey for a fortnight with an expensive camera and has the means to place wanted ads for a MacBook Pro should find it easy to reimburse people with THEIR OWN MONEY. We didn't ask him to pay out of his own pocket. If he hadn't taken over a week and a half to dispatch the goods after payment, he'd have known they were DOA before he spent it all.

No sympathy either way, tbh.

No matter what I sell on the MM, I always go OTT on the packaging. It just doesn't compute sending HDDs in a jiffy bag... it's guaranteed to be broke on arrival.

I personally think the HDDs were broke to begin with and sending them in a jiffy bag, the sender could put the blame on RM.

Not very clever. I hope this thread sends the message out to people who think they can get away with it.

What I don't understand is why did he scam you out of some silly amounts. Maybe he really had no idea how to pack HDDs properly or was just simply lazy.

But after all it was his fault and he should have refunded you all the money he was paid, including postage fees.

I once sent an arcade stick in a Budweiser box with loads of cardboard holding it in place and was really nervous about it.

I was surprised to see in my trust it was described as "very well packaged."

I like how he's saying OcUK have went too far and that we're all *****. Well if you hadn't scammed the guys over originally and sent working hardware in adequate packaging - this wouldn't have happened.

Sweet justice. :D
