Can YOU max out every game?

I can play max settings on most of the games I own. Whether I get extremely high fps is another matter.:p

For HL2 games I can play max settings and they are pretty playable except for TF2 these days which really has crippled my computer since the last few updates. MW2 also I can play at max settings with little to no slow down. I can also play GTA IV in 1680x1050 (max res of monitor) with a few things turned down.

It's not perfect but I am using a 8800 card and pretty damn old Core 2 Duo, so what more could I ask from it?

Oh and Crysis for me is just totally unplayable. :p

I think so, but I haven't tried Metro 2033 yet. i7 3.8 (amazing chip, been really lucky with it. Can undervolt and get to 3.8!), 6GB RAM with a 5970.

Being stubborn this time and keeping it until it stops being able to run stuff at max, which I'm hoping will be a while yet.

Yes (well used to be able to) and even at 2560x1600. Currently waiting on an RMA item which is taking an age ( not frome here mind).. when it comes back I can get it gone and whack in the 3 480s I have been eyeing up to replace dual 5970s :)

I can't and I have a 5970 (amongst other graphics cards bunged in there).

Unfortunately I have (amongst others) 3*30 inch monitors I run in eyefinity. Anything at about 8000*1600 (my native) with lots of AA tends to slow games down a little :(

But playing at 2560*1600 just seems like a waste :/

Yes, but no, but yes, but no, but yes I can if I don't try Metro 2033 because it won't run on my pc for no reason because when I tried to run it, it just C2D.

at 1920x1200 with my 850 core GTX 470 I can max out everything except metro 2033 and even then turning DoF off and AA to AAA gives playable frame rates and looks just as good

edit: and it can't play ARMA II OA max settings

Everything but the original Crysis (Warhead seems to run much better) and World of Warcraft.

There's a couple of WoW players in this thread totally forgetting that nothing can smoothly run the highest shadows setting yet.

Yes apart from Crysis and The Witcher with full AA, take it down one notch and they run flawlessly.

can max out most games at 1920x1200 native except for crysis and metro2033.

pretty impressed with this 1gig 4850 considering it only cost £80 a year ago and handles most games pretty well, im waiting till september to see what the gpu market is like for prices etc :)

I can "play" all of my games at their highest settings (AA included) at 1680x1050, but that doesn't mean they run well. Crysis/Warhead and GTA IV are the only games I own that I can't completely max out and enjoy.

VHigh Shadows in GTA IV completely obliterates my performance (I also turn down reflections and water quality down a notch, but I can get away with them at highest), and any amount of AA in the Crysis' isn't worth the hit on my fps either.

I cant unfortunately. Although I am fairly happy being able to play every game I have ever met at full res (1680) and low to medium settings, my PC is pretty old.
