From the previous circuits, the MB didnt seem to be as bouncy as the Ferrari here. That head cam footage from Sainz was bouncing so much, surprising he could get the apexes right.

Difficult to see Max losing the WDC now. Good result for Lewis, solid for Russell. Alonso furious to lose to Ocon again. Nice to see Stroll gain a Canadian point.

Yeah fair enough I'll give that a 7, decent end to an alright race. Great drive from max, nice try from sainz great pace and great driving but just couldnt hang on through the hairpin. Nice from Merc too, looked so much more competitive in race trim than recent races.

Hamilton should be a record 8-time world champion, Merc should’ve had the double, and Max/RB win this year. The world is in balance.

Everyone knows other than the blinkered Max fans that is a hollow championship and gifted it but its done and to move on.

Leclerc seemed to have the same issue pulling out of that corner/some other corners too. His tyres were old as balls at the time though.

No way to know that, of course, but given the gap to Ocon not sure why they didn't try it to hold out for a Safety Car for another ten laps or so .

Nah, its finished. 6 wins out of 9. Something dramatic will have to happen.
On a separate note, Russell has been brilliant this year. Very consistent. If Mercedes have a decent car next year (or second half of this year), will be interesting to see a shootout between them.
