i cant see there being a 60d
My thoughts as well, it just wouldn't fit anywhere.
Are they getting rid of the xxD range then and just sticking to xxxxD, xxxD and xD?

I can only see that being pointless personally. There would be a massive gap!Are they getting rid of the xxD range then and just sticking to xxxxD, xxxD and xD?
I think people are underestimating the sheer spec of this camera. It's got dual digic 4 (you only get dual processors on the 1 series), 19 point AF (essentially the current 1D autofocus without the extra assist points), 63 zone metering like the 1D, Dual memory card slots like the 1D, 8FPS so is as fast as a 1D mkII, 100% viewfinder, you'd expect the 5D II weather sealing too. It is, in essence, a pro camera, regardless of sensor size.
There will be a 60D, it will probably be an incremental upgrade to the 50D. It wont have the AF, it wont have dual digic, it wont have the metering, dual memory card slots, the weather sealing and most importantly it wont have the price tag of the 7D. I'm fully expecting the 7D to have an RRP of £1999.
