Wayne Rooney sticking his nose in again on twitter, he should just shut the **** up and concentrate on actually putting in a world class performance for England once in a while

Can we have another option on the poll anyone but Harry Bloomin' Redknapp if that noxious currupt git is made England manager it will be the last straw for me and I'll become Scotish ie support anyone who is playing England.

Roy Keane wasn't too impressed with him saying stuff on Twitter, "He should keep his nose out of it, Rooney didn't do enough whilst Capello was manager, he should keep his head down and focus on being a footballer not who the next manager will be. Whoever is announced he should do the business on the pitch for him"

Keane is miffed!

Why do modern players do this?
They should just concentrate on their game, and stop all these silly interviews/tweets. (i mean Rooney and not Keane)

I dont know, If I was a manager I would ban all players from having a twitter etc. account, want to view your opinions do it via the club.

'arry should be able to do the job along side Spurs. Not exactly a full time job being England manager.

Hope he doesn't go to England though, Moyes will probably be snapped up by Spurs!

For once I agree with Keane, Rooneys best game was his first against Turkey. That shows how much effort he puts in for England. Once he name was made he's half the player for England he is for United. Now it's all this Wag ****.

Quite why clubs don't ban their **** wits from twitter to save themselves embarrassment. I don't expect it will be long before clubs catch up with this new media and gag the players.

Well we're not going to win the WC in 2 years time either so we might as well wait another 2 years.

What happens if Pearce (or whoever) does reasonably well, we might find people calling for him to keep it. Imagine if Redknapp then took over and had a slow start, there'd be even more of an outcry.

Because of what's gone on, there's little to lose for anybody that takes us to the euros and you may as well give it to the man that you want to take us beyond the tournament.

I dont see any reason why England couldn't win the WC in 2 years time, think about the players that will be available and more experienced then; Hart, Walker, Smalling, Jones, Kelly, Rodwell, Cleverley, Wilshire, Welbeck and you'll still have the likes of Rooney there as well. It's those players which is why there's so much optimism around England post Euro 2012.

Personally I cant see your scenario occurring, even if Pearce does well I dont think anyone long term would want him to stay on in anything other than a number 2 role, likewise I cant see Arry having too much trouble qualifying England for the WC.

Must say I'm surprised it took till page 9 of this thread before attention turned to bashing Rooney. Unsurprisingly though it's the usual suspects that have started it :o

don't forget oxlade-chamberlain (sp?) i'd much rather give them all a shot at the euro's than our usual first 11 be balls to the wall but hey, atleast it'd be entertaining!
