Yeah grip definately helps. First time I started using chalk my lifts shot up! I don't like using straps though, they don't help as much as gripping the bar yourself. Can't use chalk in this poncy new gym I've been forced to join
Though I've just got some liquid chalk this weekend so will test it out next week, they can't stop me using that![]()
That liquid chalk sounds interesting, could you let us know how you get on with it?
Oh and ... they won't let you use normal chalk? What?
