*** Car Wash / Valet / Detailing Thread ***

this V applied rubbed in with a cloth - sponge applicator is useless - not sure how you spray it accurately either ? ...
after - first cleaning the seal,
for seal which window descends against I apply with a cloth poked in on a knife blade.
this is the gummi fledge I use ... ran out of the toothpaste bmw stuff years ago.

-------------

scrubbed outer tyre wall last night after washing car in anticipation of amazon delivery of sonax tyre dressing - looks like you can buy a dedicated brush for that, to get it into the grooves
in the absence of that will use a stiff small paint brush, toothbrush would take too long

Do it yourself. Just follow the instructions on the products.
Take your time.

Time is the issue, realistically it's a full day affair, pre wash, wash, rinse, decon, clay, polish etc etc on a 3 series sized car. Could do with a little bit of correction also.

What's all that likely to cost, £500? £1000? £1500 (inflation??)

I often do mine over a couple of days. I just wipe it over before starting again.
I have a da and pads with quite a few grades of polish, but I tend to cheat most of the time.
I use a product called Poorboys black hole, it hides lots of things.

Yeah, I've got too many "projects" on the go at the moment and washing the car seems like a chore I CBA with, let's see though.

Definitely needs decon, last time I washed it there was loads of iron **** on the roof etc.
