Carabao Cup - Quarter Finals ** Spoilers ** [22nd - 23rd Dec 2020]

I love the fact that because of no VAR United are trying to push the offside to the limit. That has to have been said in the prep.

It also seems that this mishap United has caught Everton off guard because they cannot contain it.

Cavani should have been more brave there.

I don't know how this comp is going to avoid VAR in the future because I swear linesman are gettting worse at seeing offsides simply because they don't have to anymore.

I thought that too and it is understandable. They train their brain not to lift the flag in the event of VAR till play has finished and now they are trying to unlearn that again.

In theory that shouldn't cause any problems. If you are lookihg for offsides with the same level of diligence as before then the only change is that you leave your flag down until something happens to warrant it being raised. I think they are just getting lazy and there won't be such a focus on that part of the job going forwards.

If we do lose I would be happy though as the intent and pressing was there.

You would be happy if Ole gave you a wink and a smile :p

Far too positive

Godfrey diving for a pen, no yellow card

Not sure it has to be one or the other. Players have been taught that the slightest brush against them in the box is a penalty so its not crazy to ask for one there. It shouldn't be one but football has lost the plot a bit in the past decade.

I would like a study into man buns in the EPL. It feels like we've reached peak man buns this year. Leeds in particular seemed to have more man buns than not man buns.

Ask Baz, that will be the mT or "manbuns per team" figure that is rarely talked about.

Everton jumping the gun. Ole knows what to do. Subs in the 84th minute is where its at.

I am sure you was exactly the same as me when shown the starting eleven and thought oh no but I have been pleasantly surprised.

Bruno looks like he needs a rest however and will need one at some point.

Honestly wasn't overly converned by the lineup. Our performances are a bit of a crap shoot regardless of team. You just have to watch and see what happens.

He won't get a rest until he gets injured. Ole is probably scared he will get injured but more scared of the team without him in it.
