Carling Cup and PL ganes, 14th to 20th *SPOILERS*

I thought the away goals rule does apply in the league cup but only after extra-time.

Anyway, just seen a article saying that Ratboy might be investigated by the FA for giving Tevez the finger after his 'quit talking' celebration aimed at Ratboy.

The fact is we don't know whose choice it was for him to leave - both sides offer a different story.

Didn't both sides say that it was Tevez's decision to leave, although with different reasons why the decision was made?

I'm pretty sure Utd claimed they offered the fee needed to make his deal permanent (although Fergie later said he wasn't worth the fee) and Tevez claimed he left because of the way he was treated.

Tevez said that he didn't feel part of the family and felt left out, ect ect

United offered him the wages that he wanted and were willing to pay the fee.

City offered more.

It was clear Tevez was leaving Utd long before City or Utd offered him anything. The day Fergie claimed Utd made him an offer which he rejected and Tevez then came out and basicially called Fergie a liar, was the end for Tevez at Utd.

This

You can forget all the handbags and toys being flug around, that pretty much sums up the situation

The Manchester derby game was decided by the officials not the players. Too many games are being decided by poor decisions. I know it's a hard job and the refs do their best but something needs to be done by FIFA to make sure that the results of matches are decided by the players and not officials making mistakes. If the game is now a lot quicker and the ref is struggling to keep up then maybe it is time that extra officials are used. I don't have the answers but there is certainly a problem.

Great match from the neutral's standpoint, although a pretty cushy penalty decision, I felt the ref struggled to cope with the tempo of the game and the tempers flaring in such a match as this.

Referees not up to the job of officiating matches such as these often make dreadful decisions as was seen at Pride Park last year when Forest had a man sent off for a decent tackle that shouldn't have even got a yellow card if it was indeed a foul. It swung the other way however when Derby had two perfectly good goals disallowed, one in favour of a penalty they subsequently missed.

He acts as if Man Utd. didn't value him enough to match Man City's offer, which is true. So he left. Good on him.

HAHA IN YOUR FACE FERGUSON!!!

Do you only come into SA to troll? it's all i've ever seen you do here..

I ask this in this instance because you don't seem to care about the football that was played or the result, just inciting Man Utd fans.

Serious question.

It's the same people every time as well.

United lose and theres 3-4 of them come out the woodwork to have a pop.

I don't ever remember RobbieG posting in the football threads (wouldn't have a clue who he supports) but yet he turns up with the rest of the planks when we lose.

Jog on back to Motors you muppet.

The pen was soft indeed and it was for a 2nd foul? Nothing was rewarded for the first though from what anyone seems to remember.

Extra officals are useless, they tried that in the Europa league didnt they and I THINK it was Evertons game where they had a pen decision the ref asked the offical next to the goal and he didnt even know!

What does the 4th offical actually do? He seems to have a TV screen but cant give any input to the ref what so ever? I have no idea why they wont move ahead with technology. I mean we have pretty much instant replays now and the time it takes the ref to shoe players away an offical watching a screen would have a definate answer.

UTD were also pretty poor most of the game I think only last 20mins or so did they REALLY start to threaten. They just dont look right really, seemed to have lost some edge.

City on the other hand have spent how much? They also dont look all that great for the majority of the game they sat back and let UTD play no closing down or pressure all the time in the world. UTD really should have punished them for this.

As soon as owen comes on, Rooney found himself not being man marked by 4 defenders. He is then able to take the mick and could have baggged had he nto scuffed/given been so hot.

im going to cite my argument from about 5 years ago, bad manager = bad team = this season we dont have our 1 man army (ronaldo) = we arent going to win any trophies.

No, I've posted lot in the gym rats and BB pics threads. There's no need to 'troll' in there, as you don't have bucket loads of Man U fans bleating about the very injustices that they inflict on other teams week in week out. You're just another that thinks that any expression of what a hypocritical joke Man U / Ferguson are, can be conveniently branded as trolling, whereas it is in fact statement of fact.

And I do care about the quality of the football, for example I've already stated that Tevez had a fantastic work ethic in last night's game. Shame you failed to read that before coming out with your tired 'troll' cliché.

Ignore or rebut, just don't cry about it; it's pathetic!

Serious work ethic means jack **** when the player costs £25m to buy

Lets see how many consistantly good seasons he has - I reckon by middle to end of next season at the very latest he will start going off the boil
