Strong team from us, would liked to have seen Tosic start though.

He was wriggling free of Beckford, spun and caught him accidentally. Whatever way you look at it, it wasn't the monstrous crushing elbow it was made out to be. He didn't even hit him with an elbow as I mentioned.

A yellow card for carelessness would have probably been fair. A red card or subsequent 3 match ban would have been nonsense.

LMFAO. Wriggling free. He swung his arm into Beckford's head intentionally. Elbow or not that is a straight Red. The .gif above should prove beyond a doubt what it was all about. So what if Beckford made a meal of it, it still should have been red.

Easily amused. :o

To be fair on viewing the gif it does look a lot more cynical than I had originally thought. It had seemed like he was trying to shake off Beckford but it's clear he's not actually going anywhere when he flings his arm round. I do concede that much.

At the same time, it's clearly not an elbow like everyone was proclaiming before I posted the image so I don't think I'm alone in revising my opinion. ;)

I can't see why a manager would get fired for losing a Carling Cup game. Are Everton's reserves better than Hull City's? Well duh.

Plus he's too pally with the chairman. Brown's definitely got a couple of months left, at the very least.

Tangos time is running out. 3 wins, 10 draws and 22 losses in their last 35 league games.

You don't have to tell me, I've been arguing this with City fans for a while now. Since they drew 2-2 at Anfield, they've gotten twelve points in the league, and the worst points-per-game of the entire 23 teams who've been in the Premiership these last two seasons.

But then, as has also been pointed out, Stoke had the same number of points this time last season. You did alright, didn't you? ;)

But we had Tony Pulis and they don't :D
