cars you regret getting rid of :(

I regret selling my 306

Great fun, cost peanuts to run, amazingly reliable...

...and I gave it away for £2.44 less than it cost for a new steering rack on the Octavia :(

Whilst the Octy is massively quicker and can carry much more speed on the twisties the 306 was, IMHO, more fun to drive.

Both my mk2 Golfs, 1st was a nail but always fun when it ran :)
2nd was a gorgeous black GTIalike, 1.6 auto (sooooooooo slow!) but with decent rubber and suspension setup meant slowing down, once at speed, for corners just didn't come into it. Plus near enough 2000watts of music p0wah!
Still contemplating getting another but the old rover P6 I was taxi'd in as a kid is starting to call to me :)

i regret tradeing in my 728 sport, nearly 4 years ago now too :( was really nice condition and well looked after. i made a mistake, and learned the hard way. lol  ahh well :)

some piccies :-

Loving that e38 cdcopyman

Although it has to be said, I get so annoyed looking for nice sport e38's only to find that they are always, without fail 728i's :( Why can't a 740 or 750 ever look like that :(

thanks :) and your right , the V8's + make them ideal , i rarley floored it , as it did drink the juice when you did, but it still sounded nice for a v6.
i found i settled for cruising along to be honest :D , it handled quite well for a large rear wheel drive car :)

205 1.9 GTI from years ago, wonderful car to drive.

Mini Cooper S works again from years ago, not really quick but round a twisty road it was like it was on rails.

I can't even find a picture of the real one.

We boguht it before I could drive, and my driving lessons sort of tailed off. My dad bought an Integrale Evo 1 which, being a Lancia, needed to live in the garage lest it vanish overnight from rot, so the Dolly had to go. The buyer had it roadworthy and MOTd and driving within a week :( I've looked at getting another now I can drive, but the cost of them has ballooned. We sold it for I think £350. A similar example now is about £2500+, it seems. When I'm back on my feet I'll have one, but it's a ways off.

I just wish I'd pulled my finger out and got my test done. I didn't realise what a cool car I had waiting for me, and through laziness/a defeatist attitude, I let it slip away.

The car I've got now is fine. I like it well enough, but gah... that Dolly Sprint was awesome.

Nissan 200 SX S13, had to go becuase it was costing a lot on repairs as it was over 15 years old! rust bucket, but im savng up for my dream car now, which i will probabally keep for ever, Supra TT

'83 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser, with an emissions-regs strangled 307ci (5 litres in English money) V8. Bog all power, lots of weight, the best automatic gearbox in the world, and quite a bit of rust. I sold it because I didn't have the money to sort it, or the talent to avoid having to spend the money. Four months later, I grabbed a lucky break to get a job that would've allowed me to keep it. Eh, such is life....
