I just did it in XP.

16xAF/2xAA in game, 1280x1024 soft shadows disabled:

Just remembers, this was at stock CPU aswell since I reset the Bios.

Well them results could well be fine, i mean i don't know if my 3.5ghz overclock will make much of a difference in fear against your stock 2.4ghz, i guess you will have to clock your CPU to see if it is a bottleneck.

All tested with 4xAA and 8XAF @ 1920-1200. The card is performing as it should Will.

It will make a massive difference

A. Because F.E.A.R is extremely CPU intensive.

B. The 2900 is severly bottlenecked at 2.4Ghz, It needs at least 3Ghz due to the high clock speed of the 2900 and the fact the cpu needs to deal with big sets of instructions from the drivers of the card.

Yea I will put my CPU back to 3.2 after.

I just tried 4xAA, its a large hit compared to 2xAA, larger than I would expect.

AA must need tweaking abit still with ATi drivers.

I wouldnt get your hopes up the card is performing as it should as many people here have already proved. Ive posted various benchmarks to show it performing on par with the GTS and as It should. I think you've made a lot of fuss over nothing tbfh. :o

Right this is my final fear bench and this time i mean it :D matched you settings and rez, guess the difference could be the 3ghz, your card looks like it is operating as it should though.

Yes it does semm to take it a hit but since its above 40fps 96% of the time and an averae of 76fps does it really matter unless your not finding it smooth...

I've overclocked the CPU again and now this is what I get:

WindowsXP, 1280x1024, 2xAA, soft shadows off:

WindowsXP 1280x1024, 6xAA (2xAA Wide Tent), Soft Shadows off:

Anyone got any TDU benchmarks at 1280x1024 too?

I've just done 2, city and countryside, 1280x1024, 4xAA/16xAF, HDR:

Country:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
26062, 504556, 28, 63, 51.653

City:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
41600, 835638, 27, 60, 49.782

Also, anyone got any Oblivion results, with 1280x1024, 16xAA/AF, all max in game:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
5581, 172898, 13, 58, 32.279

Those F.E.A.R results with the 2600XT were impressive, what res?

Any benchys of the same settings with an 8800GT/S?
