That isn't true though is it. You put your bins out, you tend to your houses frontage - all in the name of 'community'. This is one more example of community.

Sidenote: just filled mine in. its all **** thatthe gov/local council already know so dont see why people get a rager for not filling it in.
Data validation. Plus things change so it might have been right last time but may need updating. If the gov/local council had on record that Gibburrows is a 15ft manchild who lives in his mums basement and eats Quavers with Jam. Wouldn't you at least want the data to be accurate and not false... So tell them you dont like Quavers and confirm the rest
You've spent more time arguing not to fill it out than it takes to actually do it... plus you dont get paid to argue not to do it either

To me it's like if you tell me to do something, why would I do it? Just because it's the council or government is no different to me.

You do know what the data is used for dont you, planning local services and facilities. Adequate social and medical facilities to look after miserable sods like you. Adequate pulbic services, fire police, waste removal etc. Distribution of government spending to the relevant regions, as quess what population density moves and the same amount of people dont always live in the same areas. Maybe your area has poor access to supermarkets and having non identifable demogrpahic and poplulus data available allows business to build and develop in areas that need it.

This is weird. Had ours through the other day,came in a brown envelope, and was most definitely the official Census documents as they had all the relevant paperwork including the 12-digit code you need to enter on the website before you start and that small black sheet of paper that tells you you'll get £15 voucher for completing it. Did it online and thought nothing of it.
Today we get another envelope through the door, this time a white envelope with 'Census' stamped on it and again it looks to be official.

I believe the first one you received was from the ONS and separate to the Census 2021 as they seem to do vouchers for filling it in. The one in the white envelope with "Census 2021 your response is rerquired by law" is the actual Census one so i would probably do that one online.
They got rid of my local hospital(closest now 15 miles away) less frequent bin collection, police almost nonexistent(drug dealing rampant, police when told only ask who owns the property) all the main companies were moved to Eastern Europe. Filling it out has possibly killed the area.
