Champions League 16th/17th *Spoilers*

Also, absolute madness that the penalty on Rosicky wasn't given, bit silly now. If that isn't a penalty then what on earth was it? Ugh

Technically, he kicked his foot. :p

Wenger said it wasn't clear too. :)

Wenger said if that isn't a clear penalty than I don't know what is!

Regardless, I don't always agree with him, what I personally saw was Rosicky about to shoot about 5 yards from goal and as he went to shoot he got tripped from behind. A foul anywhere else on the field without a seconds hesitation, and lets be honest, an absolutely obvious penalty. Imagine if that type of challenge wasn't considered a foul, every time you want the ball you just get in the way and say they kicked me, or they ran into me? lol

Why do people want Yaya Toure at Arsenal :s It's not going to happen and he's not what is missing in this team. Another CM, CB and CF. (and GK?) Whole new spine to the team

It would seem silly to point out that Eboue came on way to late, with his first touch did the left back, which neither Sagna, Theo, Nasri managed all night. ALmost set up a goal, good defensive interception but just about the most dangerous ball anyone managed all night except Rosicky for the goal. His second posession shortly after was a fantastic cross, if Theo had anticipated it in the slightest, he should have got on the end for a tap in.

I don't know why Theo was brought on, what a complete joke, first posession runs into someone, first pass, to no one, not involved after that. Diaby and Denilson were woeful, Diaby after his pointless yellow card went in recklessly several times, had he made contact properly with any he would have been off. Disspeared for large portions of the game, after being basically MIA for 15 minutes the commentator finally twigged he was playing as almost a 3rd CB, despite having no support to run into their box when we needed a goal. Nasri was pretty awful throughout, and seems to be turning into a bit of a ill tempered player of late.

Fabregas was kicked off the park and looked shattered, battered and bruised within 10 mins of the second, of all the changes we should have made, while Rosicky looked tired he was still far more effective than Denilson/Diaby/Nasri, bringing him off for THeo was a joke. Not protecting Fabregas was dangerous to say the least.

Fabianski, hasn't at any stage looked potentially world class, still can't see how we let Begovic slip through our fingers for a measly 3.25mil, young, arguably better than Almunia/Fabianski now(infact not really much of an argument) with more potential than either have, seemed an easy choice.

Bendtner had his moments, needs games with better service and a second striker, likewise Vela basically didn't get a kick of the ball after he came on. Useless performance with very few really decent chances, no real penetration, lack of pace on the wings, useless defensive cover from midfield. Same old same old basically, Porto really aren't very good all they need to do is sit back in their own box for 90 minutes and we're out.

You want to play a 3-2-3-1  That team would get utterly destroyed against anyone even the slightest bit good. Edit: Oh I think you mean 4-2-3-1. I still think that lacks enough defensive cover. Neither Walcott or Vela are great when you don't have the ball.

I never suggested a formation. Just assigning names as to roughly where they would be position wise. I would have two centre backs just those listed are who would fill in the position. I would think it would be a more of a 4-1-3-2. The last five players are all fairly interchangeable.

Adding more to it slightly. Looking at the players I have listed Arsenal really are not lacking in attacking options. The problem is if you play a DM then who would actually play. You need to pick five out a good thirteen players which are all good.

Your biggest flaw here is assuming we'd buy someone.

Song was crap, Eboue's god etc.

If Fab goes I am hoping it will force Wenger's hand. Maybe Gallas won't accept a single year extension on his contract and that will mean Wenger will have to get another CB. Klass Jaan Hunterlaar looked good yesterday for AC Milan. With the amount of possession Arsenal would give him he would be deadly.

Oh well Arsenal lose...any surprise??..not really in all honesty...i thought Porto played a bit dirty as if they were purposely trying to take Fabregas out...silly ****'s...anyhow im pretty sure we can win this tie on the return leg but geezus Fabianski...what an utter knob of a goalkeeper he is:(...2 goals gifted to the cheating scum that are Porto.

Unbelievable really...

Fabianski needs to go back to goal keeping school - Plain and simple he cost us the match and should not be playing as a goal keeper for any premier league team as he clearly isn't ready for the position.

That amateurish first mistake of pushing the ball into our own goal.. watching the replay I still find it bonkers how he dealt with that ball! He should have locked that ball down there was nothing difficult about it's speed or position.

He redeemed himself with a couple of good saves afterwards but in the second half I thought I was watching the twilight zone.

Picking up a back pass come on! WTF? Fabianski had time to see that it was touched by Campbell yet he does it and it seems like he didn't realise what he had done, instead was stunned. He behaves like he doesn't know what is going on and instead slowly walks back to between the posts ******* nuts!!

The other defenders could have done better and took there finger's our of their arse, especially Campbell! But tonight Fabianski was just embarrassing to watch, the team as a whole didn't play that bad compared to recent matches. Just terribly let down by Fabianski.

They lost, that's what Wenger does whenever Arsenal lose.

A lot of "top" managers blame something else for the loss, often sending the media off talk about that. Taking the focus off the fact his team lost.

RE: Fergie and the ref being unfit, ect ect

Porto are a really disgusting side. The diving, moaning and fouling was really frustrating to watch. Reminds me of their UEFA Cup win against Celtic a few years back. That was the most disgusting display I've ever seen.
