Is that corrupt milan a or corrupt milan b

Italian football to me was always very dodgy and its just been proved, all football countries has its corrupt managers/players but not whole boards and leagues.

Forza get gone.

Do you tell that story everytime Lemon?

Really disappointed for Arsenal, the way half of the barca team surrounded the ref making "card gestures" following Lehmann's foul was disgusting.

As for Henry, I'm not convinced he'll end up in Spain - largely due to the amount of racism associated with the football over there e.g. the comments by the Spanish Manger a couple of seasons ago, racist abuse directed at Eto'o this year....

We'll wait and see though. In my eyes there are only 3 clubs in the world that he'd sign for in theory: Barca, Madrid or Chelsea

Not only is Italian football corrupt its up there with the worst set of fans going, Biggots/Facists and Racists all in one. We have all seen the De Canio tatto's and the salutes he did.

Now did he does these in the Premiership nope. We wouldnt stand for it as we are a civilized country.

Football is a whole package, not just whos the strongest.

Sorry Goons - you've been "barca'ed"......same ref as Chelsea, and oh look - a sending off in the first part of the match...you'll never know whether you could have won the game or not....terrible decisions all round....Eboue dive, lack of yellows against T.Henry....somewhat ironic feeling as we had it some months ago....could you have done it 11v11? You'll never know.
It was their "turn" to win it this year, if rumour is to be believed....Shevchenko header in the semi?
Apparently T.Henry has just said that he agrees with JM's comments about the ref - expect a hefty ban/fine and being branded an "enemy of football".
Anyway - whatever you do, don't post your thoughts about how you are angry with the ref because a sleazy Sun reporter will have a lovely little "Arsenal Death Threat Referee" story as soon as you can say "fix".

referee had a good game if you ask me, I thought he was very lenient...

It was 100% a redcard for Lehmann and also disallowed a perfectly good goal. He should also have sent off Eboue (dirty little sod he is). Personally I thought he let you off on a lot of decisions.

What a very stange evening......

I was full of expectation about Arsenal winning (but with no pressure, as we had already qulified for next seasons CL) but really looking forward to watching a great game of football.

The ref was not great for either team but, he so could have waited one more second and have had 11 vs 11 with Arsenal 1-0 down. This was the pinical of european football riuned by the ref, rash decison imo. (dont get me wrong he is under as much pressure as trhe players, but once he blew he gave himself no chioce....shame :(

Ok gunners one nil up, me is happy...1-1 i knew we would lose :(

There are bound to be comments slung around that are very biased towards our teams about what went on, Eg: dive that led to free kick.... goal!! (i did not complain at that) but the record books will show Barca are 2006 euro champs. congrats to them.....does not really matter what went on or whats been said after!

Then the evening took a turn for the worst....in the pub i was in, 3 spurs 'fans' decided (in there wisdom) to turn up in barca shirts (all shirts brand spankin new) there were 40 -50 Arsenal fans, and half a dozen Spanyards, the Spanyards were left in piece to celibrate there victory, but the spurs 'fans' were not.......i can only imagine they knew what was going to happen b4 they got there, to even think of doing such a thing.....just want to forget the whole night tbh ...... My day went really slowing because i was so looking forward to tonights game :(

oh well **** happens.

ps. hope Henry stays at Arsenal, please please, pretty please!!

He didn't disallow a perfectly good goal, he'd already stopped play. As HangTime correctly pointed out earlier, Lehmann would have been red carded for bringing down E'to and denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. If the ref had allowed play to go on and the goal stood, he couldn't have sent off Lehmann as he'd denied them nothing (considering they scored). IMO it should have been a goal and a yellow card.

Incredibly disapointed but I think it's fair to say that the players did every Arsenal fan proud tonight. If Henry goes, fair enough, he's been a fantastic player for us and I wish him well. Looking forward to whoever Wenger brings in as a replacement though..

Just got back from a pub near Highbury, cracking atmosphere. Bit drunk.

Disappointed with the loss and won't go into it as its already been covered by posts on here.

What I will say is that there was a young Arsenal team out there tonight and a young team that got us to the final. I hope those players can learn from this Champions League campaign and be even more determined in the future to suceed. Players like Reyes, Fabregas, Eboue, Toure, Clichy, Cole, Flamini, Hleb, RVP etc are already excellent players and can only inmprove.

I lso hope Henry will see the potential of this young team and stay.

No shame about the defeat though. I'm proud of my team. Everyone wrote us off after the sale of Paddy and continued to do so during the Madrid and Juve game. What this young team has achieved is superb. I'm proud.

Not read the thread, skimmed the last page and picked up on this.

I agree with you. However...

It's the CL final and you're under huge scrutiny as a ref. For me, in my saturday league, the sensible option is allow the goal to stand and book the keeper. Don't think either team would have complained at that. But on such a stage, you really can't compromise and have to go by the letter of the law, which the ref did, fair play to him. I'd like to see the lanky **** waving his arms simulating a card to the ref to recieve a hefty fine and/or ban mind.

Turned it off at FT as I'm supposed to be revising. Did they catch Henry for an interview and ask him wholly innapropriate questions about his future like they did with Gerrard?

Just got home.

I watched the game at a departure gate bar in Dulles airport but had to leave with about a minute left so wasn't sure until now on the final score.

Sending off was correct in my opinion and the Arsenal dive to get the free kick for their goal was a joke. If the game had finished 1-0, as Barca I'd have been gutted.

Predictably, yes, and equally as predicatably, he sidestepped the question.

To be honest I'm quite suprised Henry hasn't been branded a bad loser by rival fans. I think his feelings are understandable though, you don't get to play in the CL final every week and if you feel hard done by on decisions, it's not really suprising that you voice your frustration if interviewed 10mins after the end of the match.

I don't get why everyone is talking about Arsenal being 'a young team'

Lehmann 36
Cole 25
Campbell 31
Toure 25
Eboue 23
Ljunberg 29
Silva 29
Fabregas 19
Hleb 25
Pires 32
Henry 29

Only two players under 25 in the starting line-up, not exactly a 'young team'.

Don't see why not. He should have played the advantage, then gone and sent Lehmann off for the red card offence.

The offence is to deny a goalscoring opportunity, just because another goalscoring opportunity occured after the offence, ie, the ball rolled to another player, doesn't mean he didn't deny the player he fouled a goalscoring opportunity.
