Chelsea signed Shevchenko!!

Sheva, unlike so many other 'good' strikers, doesnt rely on his speed to score goals.
Speed goes over time. Skill doesnt. I firmly belive that he'll still be banging them in till he's 32 at least.

BoomAM what are your feelings about Sheva moving? Upset with him moving or do you understand his reasons?
I am a bit upset with the move to be honest.
Like i imagine with you & Henry, Sheva was more than just a goal scorer to Milan fans.
I understand his reasons for going. And wether i agree with them or not. I respect his choice. Regardless of where he goes, he remains one of the worlds best. And remains, a legend at Milan. He may not be our all time top scorer, but he will be remembered in the same high regards as MvB.

Must say this transfer is very odd. As you can see with the links below he has constantly said he would say at Milan but then all of a sudden he decides for his childs sake England is the only option so he can learn English? Are there no English schools in Milan? Also seems like from the start there was only one club who would be aproached and suprised at how swifty the deal has been concluded.
Wife=american.
American=lazy.
Wife=long time friend of RA.
Wife=cant speak much Italian or Ukranian.
Wife=reason why the move happened.

I truely belive that he didnt want to leave Milan.
If he wanted to go, then why did he put out a 'plea' to the fans explaining himself.
If he wanted to go, then why was he in the CurvaNord with the fans, against Roma, in tears?
Those are not signs of a man wanting to leave a club by his own choice. Those are signs of a man being made to doing something he doesnt want to do.

Took it. Then looked at our trophy cabinet, history and passion of fans.

30 odd Million might get you Shevchenko but it does not buy you class, passion or a trophy cabinet like Liverpools. Come back and gloat when you have been Champions of Europe, five times.
:D

Look at Morientes, he went from being the top scorer in the CL to being a major flop in a year.

he also went from scoring scoring 10 goals in 28 games in the french league, to score 5 goals in 28 games in his first full season for liverpool. Both crap.

I see where you are coming from and I had read a few days ago Gattuso saying he had to convince his wife and he was letting the woman make the decision. Didn't quite see what he was on about but it makes more sense now, I was under the impression she spoke Italian.

hmm, even though i hate chelsea...

im very happy that we can see shevchenko in the premiership, chelsea are now good for scoring goals, sheva will be up there with henry i think.. i hope. (goal tally)

personally i "love" shevchenko.. not in a gay way... but in a football way.. everybody has a player they idolise and sheva is that player for me.

sad day for milan... am sure sheva will be very sad to leave milan too...

but chelsea have wrapped up their 3rd title for "£30"m...

im not saying they have bought it again, but they have bought someone who is going to propell them onwards and upwards as soon as the new season kicks off.

thats my 2 penneth

even though i aint keen on chelski at all...

id happily watch them beat barca in next seasons champions league...

i hate barcelona more than anything... more than sunderland

not fussed about Shevvers going to Chelsea to be honest.... it was on the cards for a while... Shevchenko was a Liverpool fan as a lad too.. you'd think he'd know better :(
I am just glad Chelsea never got Aguero... now he is a class act and over 10 years younger than Shev. Also a Liverpool fan too. :(

As a Liverpool fan...you know the team that knocked Chelsea out of the CL last season in the semis and then out of the FA Cup this season again in the semis, and each time going on to win the trophy.......I just want to congratulate Chelsea on a fantastic signing for themselves and the PL.

I say this from the bottom of heart....I hope he has a wonderful season on the sidelines after being hacked down in a god awful challenge in his first game where his legs are broken.

Jealous yes, so what. :p :p :p

V.little aparentely.
He says he wants to learn English so that he can speak with his wife without them both having to make concessions in language differences. So that rarther than them both talking in their second tongue, one talks in their first, and Sheva in his second.
In a way i admire him for his willingness to put his family before his career.
But in another im annoyed at his wife for putting him in this position.
I have no doubt that he will do wonders for Chelsea though.

Actually no. He was infact a Kiev & Milan fan when he was young.
I think your getting confused with the youth tournament he won where his favourite player, IanRush, gave him his boots.
;)
