Chinese Grand Prix 2011, Shanghai International Circuit - Race 3/19

Supersofts are going to make their first appearance in Monaco.

Thats going to be fun in Q1, 24 cars, all on supersoft tyres that may wear out in a couple of laps...

:D

Watching the race start on the F1 forum, Vettel clearly makes more than one move left and right. For me that is just racing, but considering Hamilton took a penalty for the same offence last week, it just highlights the inconsistency with the stewards race to race.

The excuse BBC made at the start is that the stewards can't police it with 22 cars on the straight doing it, so it's safe when the track is chock full of cars but extremely dangerous and punishable with only 2.

We all know the rule is there to prevent drivers defending position anyway.

Doesn't count from the start of the race for the first lap or so. There would be no way to enforce it, there is just too much happening.

The problem is, when two cars have been following each other for a while they can get very hot headed and do silly things. Usually isn't such a problem off the start.
