Lindt 70% dark.

I can really take or leave milk chocolate [and most of the time I leave it]. However, I tend to have dark on most days. I've been through a load of brands of 70%, Tesco Finest, Sainsburys Taste the Difference, Green & Blacks, Ulker... they all paled in comparison to the Lindt.

I honestly don't mind and like them all equally. :)

Chocolate is chocolate.

Such absolutely piffle, you should be banned from this subforum for an opinion like that! That's like saying bread is bread. There are a tonne of different varieties which all differ in quality and style from maker to maker.

I'm going through a tough time and so have been eating tons of chocolate. Don't really have a favourite because it's probably about the sugar rush but saying that I have noticed that Cadbury's doesn't taste as nice as it used to - almost as if it's been watered down.

Also bought some Hotel Chocolat for my wife. Very nice indeedy (the few bits she left for me)

I think it's got to be either Lindt Lindor (any type!) or Lindt Excellence: A Touch of Sea Salt. Both are spot on. In fact, pair that with a glass of red wine and you're onto a winner. Having said that, it's surprising how good the Lidl stuff is.

It's odd that I find the more expensive brands are much better for dark chocolate, while the normal brands (Cadbury for example) are better for milk and finally the cheaper brands (think pick 'n' mix chocolate mice) are best for white!

This cannot be beaten on taste by any other chocolate:

It has to be the 30p one pictured above and it has to be Asda's, Tesco equivalent is okay but nowhere near as good unless its their £1.20 RFA bar. Seriously galaxy, cadburys, lindt, milka... no contest for this!

Sea Salt truffles are quite nice. Everyone loves the peanut butter truffles over here don't know what it is with yanks and peanut butter..

Milk chocolate for sure. I like some dark chocolate, but the really dark 70% ones taste horribly bitter to me. I only use the 70% and above for cooking.

Don't really eat chocolate. Sometimes when I go to pay for petrol and I have a spare 10p laying about I'll buy a Freddo.

I'd much rather have a plate full of roasted parsnips for example than a slab of chocolate.

Dark is my preferred sort though and once or twice a year I'll buy a bar of Bournville.
