Chromecast

Use mine all the time for Netflix and YouTube, for the price its great, just wish they would make Picasa work with it ...... goes to see if they have since I last checked.
 
I use mine most days, either for Netflix/Youtube or I also use it for Google Music whilst I work.

Not sure Blinkbox have support for it yet, after a quick search when they released the Xbox One app it was mentioned that Chromecast was 'coming soon'

They don't mention it on the Blinkbox website hence the query. I guess it's probably still coming then. Ta.
 
I only did a brief search of "blinkbox chromecast", and seems to be just rumours really, but I can't see why it wouldn't add Chromecast support.

It may be worth looking at the Google Play TV & Movies stuff, seems quite similar to blinkbox both in content and price (blinkbox is £1-2 cheaper for some stuff, same price for most it seemed) and funnily already works and quite nicely too, only watched the pilot of Veronica Mars (mostly as it's free) but seemed as good quality as Netflix to me.
 
I've a few things from Google Play. All the same quality you would expect from Netflix. The only thing that really winds me up is when attempting to resume a film via Chromecast it goes back to the start. I mean come on Google, BBC fixed this days after they added Chromecast support!

I only use it for YouTube and iplayer

If I have a non inet option I will use that as I can't steam hd content

Worth it.. Absolutely
 
Look out for version 1.7 of the app in the next few days, this brings official true screen mirroring (a feature it should have had from day one really).
 
That's great, now all i need them to do is allow cast from Chrome browser on Android and Apple and I won't even need to switch my PC on again!
 
Just been reading about one of these, I have a Nexus 7 2012 and apparently it works well with the "Localcast" app.

Anyone else use this?

Nexus 7 2012 isn't officially supported with the latest chromecast so I would have to do everything this way.
