Cities Skylines 2 is Official!

The patch recently released include asymmetrical roads, as well as others, they should be useful.

At one point I'll give this a go again.

Any further information to suggest when this could be on consoles yet.?

I'm pretty sure the first two expansion packs are also out on Monday - its been a killer few weeks for new content and it feels like the developers are starting to hit their stride with this one.

Hey hey!

So I'm in the market for a game that is just totally chilled out, not stressful and that you can just relax to whilst listening to music, not facing any particular time sensitive perils or stresses, just sit back, relax, chill out and get engrossed into something....

Is this my game?

I've been quite into Satisfactory over the last year and that has scratched the itch I described above, but feel like I am done with it now and time to move on?

Seems from reading around that performance has significantly improved since release? (Note, I haven't played Cities Skylines 1 so am coming to this game fairly fresh).

It seems like this will be perfect for you. Unlike SimSig, the UK train signalling simulator, this game offers a different experience without the same pressure level.

Performance has significantly improved, and with the addition of free building asset packs and various bug fixes, the game has made great strides since its initial release.

Yes I did. I've got about 5 hours in but think I need to watch some like introduction videos to get a bit more of a clue with what's going on and why.

I've been enjoying it but I know I'll enjoy it more when I actually understand what's going on a bit more!

But I think this was the game I'd wanted, quite chilled and relaxed and creative problem solving without any peril! :D

Good to hear. I'd recommend City Planner Plays on YouTube. Most of his tutorials and gameplay even from CS I will still be applicable.

Thanks, that's literally the channel beginner guide I am watching right now. I've never played a Cities game before so not really understanding the mechanics of it all yet.

How does this compare to playing the first game fully modded with loads of expansions?
The second one can't compare or compete against nearly 10 years of mods and assets, primarily because an asset creator hasn't been released yet.

The second one has had a few free and paid region DLC packs, which help break up the vanilla game's default assets.
