Cities: Skylines

Just pre ordered this from GMG for £16.78 with the 20% off code. I used to waste a hell of a lot of time on the old Sim City games and loved them. I was really excited about the latest one when it was first shown but then the online stuff became apparent and I skipped it.
Seen a couple of Cities: Skylines streams and it looks awesome. I'm off work on Weds and Thurs this week so Tuesday release is perfect for me :)
 
I caved in with the GMG discount voucher. Bought deluxe.

Was going to wait until reviews were out, because Sim City was a such a let down..but meh.

Yeah, I'm not one to pre-order these days but did the same. Based on the reaction since people started streaming I don't think we'll be disappointed. :)
 
I think I might abstain from watching streams/videos now until I get to play myself. I don't think I've ever watched a game so much I don't want to burn out before I even get it! Also for the most part the people with press copies are either so bad at traffic management it's frustrating to watch or they build boring grid cities.
 
Got my hopes up for an early release when I noticed a load of Twitch streams for this, before realising they were just press promo owners :(. Looking forward to getting lost in a sim game again, already got a few cities in mind to re-create with this.

Although I didn't want to use Nuuvem myself I've read your posts and you've clearly been helpful, and taken the time and effort to try to help people.

Its best to just ignore some people...
 
^^^^ My faith has been restored a little since buying Atilla and Dying Light, like you though I do have great hopes for this one, especially as there is very little currently that I would consider to be a good city building game that has recently been released.

I am trying my very best to forget all about SC 2013 though.

I've seen quite a few videos and screen shots where people have created some nice and interesting looking cities, I guess you're always going to get some boring cities when people go for efficiency, but it does looks fairly easy to put together some interesting stuff. :)
 
Just pre-oredered this with the VIP discount at GMG. I love Sim City games but didn't touch the last for obvious reasons, this looks like the game the last Sim City should have been.
