I don't but I might give that a try to make a change with how I usually play CS!

it does kinda force you down the grid/max density route early on to get the numbers up to unlock the milestones sadly, but I find the ratio of residential > commercial/industrial looks better. Other thing I found is the demand for commercial/industrial might show high, but you can sometimes get into the scenario where you have too much and either the businesses close due to not enough educated workers or not enough demand.

Hello all you cities skyline fans, i need to go through and read the whole topic but wanted to quickly make a post and say hey. Here is an image from a mod me and a friend developed for the game which allows chat interaction on the twitch platform, i also have posted a couple shots from entries into a building competition called Cities in a snap. This game in my opinion is awesome but we need a new better optimized engine to utilise multi cpu cores better for all the ai simulation etc.

Has anyone ever had an issue when traffic will not go up a road.

I've got a road (not a mistaken one way road) which leads into an industrial area and for no reason I can fathom no cars will go in (so no workers) no police cars, so crime is rife and garbage trucks wont go up.

Is it a known bug?

Are you using road anarchy? It's possible the nodes haven't connected properly. Delete the junction, ensure node snapping is on and try again.

Not a bug I've encountered myself, always been a missed node.

I'm not sure what it is that made this happen but my 2 industrial fed off the same junction on opposite sides of the arterial, for some reason they had linked as one big road and it wouldn't allow card to cross the junction.... I disconnected the roads, made the roads separate and it fixed itself suddenly.

just fired up my save game and bought industries, sunset harbour and airports DLC...
managed to save my bugged out game and got it working nicely again...yay!

here's my city on CSL mapview
885k pop, 84% traffic
LaUW8kx.jpg

done this by killing ~180k cims lol (#genocide) to get below the citizen limit
also altered the build by using more low-density housing rather than high density housing to lower the population + building outwards rather than upwards
airport DLC well worth it
now need to add specialist industries and harbour industries
next on the to do list is also to tidy up my train lines...having loads of issues with trains backing-up :(

I have moved away from this game for a while now and spend waaaaay too much time enjoying the Early Access Game "Workers and Resources Soviet Republic"

Thoroughly enjoyable :)

They have just released their 9th major update....

Ha, I bought that too in some Steam Sale (not that it is ever discounted by much) but it's too overly complex for me. I don't need my power lines broken down into 5 different types!

you can set the game to use certain options or not - useful for an easier start. Like this....

would mean that you are only having to manage your budget. And you can even set that to unlimited.

It can be a little overwhelming tho, especially compared to CS. I still have a lot to learn, but enjoying it somewhat.

Looks interesting. Maybe start a new thread dedicated to this game instead of posting here in the Cities Skyline, maybe others been playing it or would be interested in playing it if they know about the game ?

Anyone still playing? I really want to jump back into this but now I'm considering trying to find a laptop powerful enough to play it (with mods and assets of course) on the sofa. Is that a stupid idea? :D

Must be about 2 years since I last played but been holding out for a longer period of free time to really sink into it. That's why I'm thinking a laptop might be a better idea now.

Gonna have to work out which are the go to mods again though. Assuming the various anarchy mods and traffic manager are still core ones.

I still play on and off. It's permanently installed on my system as it's under 20Gb after all.

I really should expand my mod horizons or buy the industries pack or something instead of doing the same old 'how big can I make a city before it implodes' approach.

There was someone who posted here quite a lot who was good at setting themselves a theme and having an idea in their head before starting. Ended up with some really interesting looking cities and not too much in the way of traffic issues. That's how I'll approach it this time I think
