Pre-ordered for £22.98. Not bothered about bonus maps and all that gubbins, I always play on randomised maps anyway.

I'll be faced with a difficult choice though, because this release clashes with F1 2010.

Not fussed about the maps either I just liked the price and always want to have the disks

I feel your pain :(. For me it clashes with FFXIV which starts 2 days before the release of CivV. Oh well, I'll have something to play during the hours when the servers are down :D
 
Not particularly fussed about maps etc, I usually only play on the largest map of earth that I can find , which is usually a custom made one anyway.

Bought Civ5 from Steam, just got to wait for the unlock now.
 
I wanted Babylon and the Soundtrack, the latter is worth £10 anyway.

By the way if you buy it from D2D instead, you get the first bonus DLC for free when it gets released, that doesnt just have maps, but also extra civs.

I've been having a read of that. As a result even a jaded ol' cynic like me is getting a little excited. :o

I'm still going to miss the "wonder movies" though. Seems a cheap omission. :( I'm also a tad gutted that the Mongol's aren't in the starting line up. I liked Genghis, even if in every single CIV game I've played the Mongol's were utterly hopeless.

Hmm wasn't there a thing a year or two ago where people were doing that to buy steam games from elCheapistan or where ever and then started getting their games locked without refund due to buying outside of their region?
