Yeah, I'm sure it will happen as its been done in past Civs, hopefully someone will do a leader choice mod again so that I can have Hitler, Henry VIII, Stalin/Lenin, Lincoln etc.

I think the only reason why Hitler cant officially be used is because that would get the game banned in Germany.
I think that Germans themselves would rather want Bismark and not Hitler.
I agree that Lincoln > Washington, but to me Elizabeth > Victoria or anyone else.

I think its fairly obvious why they didnt go with Hitler for Germany. Though theres no religion in this game so you couldn't go start a jewish holocaust
They're saving that for Civilization VI
True, I suppose they could always have 2 versions, one for in Germany and one for everywhere else. Like they do with some games which have blood in them but the German release has the blood removed or the colour changed due to the German laws about showing blood in games.
Bah.. Henry VIII would marry Elizabeth, use her and abuse her, then chop her head off and go and defeat Spain and France and any other country at the same time at the weekend and then smash up some churches for bonus points
Hitler united a broken country and started a war for the most hypocritical reasons in history. He also lost and commited suicide. All in under a decade. I wouldn't really call that 'great' nor something that anyone would like to remember. Just because it would be 'cool' to have Hitler leading Germany doesn't mean it should happen... theres something about leading Germany to conquer the world under Hitler that would just be kinda sickening if you somehow got pleasure in doing so.
Its got nothing to do with being "cool", if you think thats the reason why I would like Hitler in it then you truly know nothing about me whatsoever.
As were quite a lot of leaders who achieved much, some would say that Churchill was evil, demented, fat and ugly too

Well he certainly said some demented things (as well as some great things) and good/evil is a subjective term, one mans good is another mans evil and vice versa so technically everyone is good/evil to someone

So wait until someone mods it? After all the game has 18 civs, a lot less than civ 4, so it won't be long till someone mods in others.
I know...thats kind of what I said, I just commented that I hoped someone would make one, then it kind of just got all blown out of proportion.

Was umming and Ah-ing about whether to get this, then I saw the magic words "Steam Cloud" on the store page. For me that's fantastic as I flit between my laptop at my girlfriend's house and my PC at home.
Played it for a couple of hours last night, and was pleased to see that to all intents and purposes you can just jump in if you've played Civ before. It looks nice and sounds good, I guess all the new features will wrangle their way in as I play!
Unfortunately I didn't click the "Steam Cloud" box when I saved last night, so I'll just have to do it all over again (shame, eh?)
