Civilization VI

China has definitely converted one of 3 continents but hasn't gained 50% of an entire civ yet. His missionaries are everywhere.

Do I have any chance of converting him late game? I managed to get France early doors who seemed to also be going for religion

Going to be difficult and you're going to have to seriously flood him in order to convert half his cities, but its doable if you gain the upper hand elsewhere, especially if other civs also send out units to convert him once you have converted them. The question will be whether you can achieve it before someone gets one of the other types of victories.

If you're only looking for the achievement for Religious Victory, you can get it by turning off every victory type except Religious and playing on a Duel map against that civ which can't start its own religion. Set difficulty to the highest level while you're at it, because it's impossible to lose.

Finally got my religious win. Got my continent early, then Japan was my only opponent going for religion. Luckily Sumeria had pretty much flooded over that continent and his cities were real easy to convert, which made Japan much more easily influenced.

Just Domination Victory to go. Trying on king.

So does that mean we have to all call you Archpope Dampcat now ? :D

No ring kissing I hope!

So, only (from leaks ect) Eleanor of Aquitaine as a new leader for England and France and Dido of the Phoenicians left to reveal.

February can't come quick enough.

Its possible...supposed to be 8 new civs, if the last new one is the Phoenicians then I will be extremely happy and the Phoenicians will absolutely be my first choice to try out

The missus and I are both mega hyped for this, we are prepped and ready, waiting to get a massive giant map, marathon , all Civs multiplayer game on the go :D

Well the Cothon has already been discovered/leaked/mined so get ready to be pleased :D

I'm not sure who I'm going to go with first. I really like the Maori and the unique situation of your settler starting at sea, but then I've been in a bit of a war monger mood on the game recently so either Hungary or the Ottomans may be first. I'm least enthused about playing Sweden or Canada.

I recently got the rise and fall DLC. I think I like it so far, it does add quite a lot.

The AI is still stupid though, I’m playing as Spain and I’m bordering America. They keep acting all friendly then out of nowhere declaring a spontaneous war against me.

Sounds like England and Scotland all through the middle ages :D

Knowing the US, change it immediately or be carpet bombed :D

They're impossible to please. To be honest so far I haven't tried to please anyone. I'm also completely ignoring the whole Amenities thing and still winning games.

Just got my first Domination win on King. Very late game, England had almost completed the space race. Luckily I had 16 Thermonuclear devices and 3,300 military score at hand.

It seems to be, aside from my cultural win, the best way to win most games is to pump science and currency. You end up with a vast advantage.
