CL Final *Spoilers*

Checking in from a Thai Internet cafe (on my holidays) missed the game and just read right through this thread. I knew the result from the BBC website so kinda funny to see the posts slamming Liverpool at half-time. I probably would've too to be fair. Actually, I'm glad I didn't see it as it's just proved again that Liverpool never win when I'm watching!

Eh lads, lads what did i tell ya, eh, we have bloody done it, the single most greatest moment of my life and i didnt even make it to the game.Spent all night in taksim square, couldnt buy a ticket for love nor money, but god what a night.

This is what liverpool football club is all about, thank you god, rafa, stevie,jerzy i will never ever forget this moment.

This is what i have waited for all my life, i can die now a very very happy man now.

Oh and on another note, the turks were absolutely superb, zero problems great bunch imo.
 
One more thing we have to be allowed to defend the trophy, we just have to be, look at the teams we have beaten to win the trophy, top drawer all the way through, i mean compare it to porto`s last season, we have beaten some top top sides this year.

Oh and i bet a certain M.Owen is kicking himself :D
 
One of the best nights I can ever remember as a football supporter, they just do not get any better than that. Big two fingers to all those doubters who said Liverpool are boring, the final would be boring and we don't deserve to be there, we deserved every thing we got :) Best final that I have ever seen and thats saying something because ive seen some amazing finals, but that has got to be one of the best in recent times.

Unbelievable achievement to put 3 past Milan, but to to it from 3 down is the achievement of the century truely remarkable turn around, still can't believe what I have witnessed. The place I watched it was packed out about 450 supporters of all clubs, Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea, Milan & Liverpool. After half time honestly there was about 250 people left, so I grabbed me a seat and just had to believe as Tommo said on Sky Sports, get one goal and believe. What a LEGEND!!!

Anyway the rest is history, 3 - 2 and the place was packed again in a matter of minutes and at 3-3 I couldn't move the place was so packed, at this stage half the supporters who were previously cheering on Milan were now cheering on Liverpool and suddenly there was 500+ people there just cheering on Liverpool it was an amazing atmosphere, and when the penalties came it was the most tense atmosphere ever could barely watch :eek:

Needless to say when Sheva stood up and Dudek saved it, the place errupted it was as if someone lifted the roof off, the place was bouncing and random people were jumping up and down embracing each other all supporters from all walks of life so glad that Liverpool had completed a remarkable come back. Doubt any of us will ever see a come back like that again not in a major european cup final thats a once in a lifetime experience for most football fans, lets hope the next time we win it, we do it in less difficult circumstances.

Finally for anyone who has doubted Rafa, don't, the man is a tactical genious and in his first season with a not so good squad of players has achieved the impossible, the man will make this club great again its only a matter of time, legend in the making!!!

Got to say am really really pleased with the reaction of the real football fans on this forum and others, just goes to show that when it comes down to it we are all supporters of the beautiful game our teams just take priority, thanks to all of you for your support :)
 
I have just read this thread in it's entirety and would like to thank all the supporters of other teams who backed us last night and congratulated us :)

I couldn't post myself last night as I was too embarresed/depressed/shocked/nervous/elated/emontional/drunk in that order :D

First half was embarrasing and at half time I came upstairs to tell the wife we were getting thrashed and at first she didn't believe me and couldn't believe I was actually going to watch the second half!

Second half, what a performance :eek:

All in all I am on top of the world and still cant quite believe we won

Well done lads, you've done us proud :D


Champions of Europe once again!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Well played Liverpool, I must admit I had money on against you and after the first half thought about sending a gloating text message to my mate, but great work to turn it round, and Dudek in the penalties was immense. He made the goal look tiny and he's not a big guy himself.
 
Im a Gooner and im really please for 'pool, because there an English Team, it really goes back to what wenger said the other week about this Cup being based more on luck nowadays. How can you be only 5th best team in your country yet Best Team in Europe. You cant even say they've had it easy, qualifying on last day then beating Juventus, Chelski and AC is such a big achievement. Well Done!

UEFA have already said that they won't give out an extra place, they said its up the FA now to do with who gets what place...personally I think that since they need to qualify domestically for the CL, Everton have every right to be there, not Liverpool which is the harsh truth :(

no one of the uefa board has said, not the entire board and the president wants a meeting, so I hear u but it aint set in stone just yet
 
I wouldnt be so sure, they arent going to let an extra team from every league into the CL, its a sad fact, they probably should defend the trophy but I just don't see UEFA budging on this one :(
