I'm not a big fan of having all storages together like that in the centre. If they breach the centre then chances are they've got everything. If you spread storages out across the base, then it is harder to get them all. I wouldn't bother putting all your collectors inside the walls either.

I've been using this base for a while now and have had pretty good success. It's a rather unique design and is vulnerable to attacks from the top, although most players attack from either of the bottom sides and run straight into the traps. I've only been wiped once so far and that was with level 6 troops and hogs, not much any base can do against that.

Can't say i am having a problem upgrading, go for collector raids and all is well 1-300k a raid. A casual evenings gaming gets a mil easy. I found the 1100-1200 range the best for farming.
 
I can rarely find bases with over 100k to raid.. usually spend about 20 mins flicking through basses before getting one worth attacking :( probably costs me a fortune going it..
 
I'm getting towards the point of maxing out my TH5, so currently upgrading my gold storage to save up enough to get all my walls up to Level 5, and then I wont be far off saving up again to go to TH6 :)
 
I think it's gonna take me a week to get my wall finished!

I'd been doing loot raids, taking what I can and getting out, dropping my trophies and gaining monies :)
 
Hi guys, only just found this thread (maybe because its in the apple software section :confused:).

Im at TH lvl 7 and am grinding gold to upgrade my walls a defenses, problem im finding is every base I look at does not have much gold available to loot. I noticed a few people have said they are dropping trophies, what is the thinking behind this and will it help me?

Depends what rating your at and what your base is like, as mentioned the easy way is to drop your rating or put your TH outside of your walls as most people will take the quick trophies and not loot you. The combination of the two helped me save up enough to make substantial upgrades on defensive structures, I have now moved up as I am also at a level were I need large amounts of gold etc to make upgrades.
