Clinically obese, trapped in an obese man's body.

Look inside yourself, young Jedi. Oh, and try to ignore the facetious comments.

no don't, because they're the only ones that are actually right.

you can ask for help, pray for salvation, plan the worlds best diet and the greatest training program there is but the only way to stop eating junk food is to stop eating goddamn junk food.

Eat before you go shopping, don't buy loads of fizzy drinks - just drink water. Limit yourself to, say, one packet of crisps a day. Start working out, pushups, dips, situps etc, maybe invest in a bike and start cycling to get some cardio in to lose weight. Perhaps even keep reminding yourself of a motivational quote (for example,
"I will persist until I succeed. Always will I take another step. If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult.... I know that small attempts, repeated, will complete any undertaking." - Og Mandino)

etc, very easy to do, just hard to keep motivated as the lbs coming off aren't noticeable daily

To begin with you can simply change what you eat..out with white bread, in with wholemeal and so on, chuck out the big dinner plates and get smaller ones, eat slower, chew more, walk more, sit less. Sleep more, drink more water, less alcohol.

cutting out kebabs would be more effective than chewing slower...

Also to add one more thing, eat breakfast, dont take change to work but do take a pre set lunch that is filling but not fatty.

Or be gifted with an awesome metabolism. Although mine is starting to give way, I had to move up to 30" waist jeans last month :( ........ ;)

I'm 44" trouser now and 42" jean  I used to be 32" at 21.

Agreed, you can "want" to do it all.....but you have to actually do it.

Also get a friend to do the exercise with, I find it helps me a lot. If my friend isnt going to the gym, I wont go. Even though when we get there we will hardly talk to each other, its the making a plan and "see you at 7:45" that gets me there

The point of this thread is someone is asking for help. If you can't see the point, there are many other threads you could be reading instead. ;)

No the point of this thread is someone asking for sympathy and a "there there don't worry you're fine".

like when the girls on facebook go "omg i'm so ugly no one wil ever love me" to get all the "aww babes you're so sexy any man would be lucky to have you" ****e comments in return.

Nothing will come of this the op will make no effort and no changes because he simply doesn't want to.

My typical daily intake is this:

Weetabix
orange juice
coffee

Baguette at work
cereal bar
fruit
go ahead yoghurt bar

Then I go home and...

kebaB
burger
tub of ice cream
or whole pack of biscuits
or 6 Mr Kipling cakes
or 12" dominos
or take away curry or Chinese.

As that song said, 'Sunscreen' I think it was called.

Your body is the greatest gift you will ever have.

There is nothing like the feeling of being strong and fit. It is a goal we should all strive for.

Step one - stop eating junk food, ALL of it.

For this for 2 weeks, eat only this

bowl of porridge for breakfast
chicken salad for lunch
steak and grilled veg for dinner
one piece of fruit

No coke, no bread, no potatoes, no kebab, no biscuits with your tea, no crisps between meals, no snacking whatsoever (I MEAN IT!) The above is all you eat.

Feel free to substitue chicken with tinned tuna, steak with grilled chicken or salmon or even pork chops.

Don't eat anything process, anything that comes in a plastic bag. Drink only water. You won't die ! Prisoners in concentration camp would consider that a feast and they survived on a LOT less doing hard labour. You can live on that easy sitting at home playing video games.

Try it for 2 weeks, if you don't lose weight I'll go eat my hat.

Erm, are you ignoring the sugar?

When I eat ice cream, I don't eat the whole tub :p

i.e. Ben and Jerry tub, at most I have 1/4, a tub last me WEEKS as I don't eat it everyday. for example, I had some today, last time I had it was Monday.

I'm 44" trouser now and 42" jean  I used to be 32" at 21.

live on your own?

if so go downstairs get all the unhealthy crap from your fridge and cupbaords and go throw it in the bin right now and don't buy any again.

if it's not there when you want it you'll do without it and it will be more effective than "rationing" and "treating".

at 3 am when you fancy a biscuit if there isn't one downstairs you're much less likely to drive to the nearest 24 hour supermarket than you would be to just go eat one if it was there.

Make it something doable and fits into your routine. I get my exercise with a cross trainer, I tend to watch an episode of my favourite show and use the cross trainer for about 15-20 minutes each day. I have lost a stone since mid August and I have not changed my diet much. I feel so much better I can hardly believe it!

Lol! On here, sympathy!! surely you jest my good man! :D

Weight is like a see saw, if you are skinny its hard to get fat, if you are fat its hard to get skinny.

If you're in the middle its reasonably easy to go either way.

Start with your mindset.

They've stuck up big vinyl phrases inside my local gym. One by the entrance reads:

'You're not going to get the bum you want sitting on the one you've got!'

Aimed more towards women but the point still stands.

Stop making excuses. If you have nothing other than work and food then find something else to replace food with.
