Yep loved KKid and still do, I'm glad they passed on it for Rocky as I can't imagine a better fit! Oh the nostalgia!

I watched the first episode over the weekend. It was great, I'd seen a few people on here say it was good.

The set up is great with it concentrating on the baddie guy.

Loving this show, such nostalgia and the themes of redemption and second chances. Couldn't believe how surprisingly good the performances have been from some, especially Johnny's gang, the fireside scene especially poignant.

Loved this scene too; barely any spoiler as an incidental scene from early season 2 :

Still got 2 episodes of season 2 to go, hopefully a season 3 is on the cards.

Been following this thread since it was on YouTube, but I think it was Premium only back then? There's so much other content around I didn't bother with it as the concept didn't appeal to me, plus I'd never heard of any YouTube originals that were worth watching.

Now it's on netflix I'm a couple of episodes in and it's just he right amount of retro feel good I need right now.

I thought S1 was excellent but S2 was far too cheesy for me. The whole set up bringing in a girl for the daughter to fight, the whole series was pretty terrible. I'm hoping with Netflix behind it S3 will be much improved.

The whole Crease storyline and taking the dojo was a just terrible. They had no need to bring him back at all.

Season 3 was filmed before Netflix took over control. We'll need to wait for Season 4 for any input they might have.

Loved season 1 and 2. For those saying season 2 is cheesey, I think you might be missing the point. The whole thing is gloriously and deliberately cheesey.

It's caused me to rewatch athe karate kid movies with my kids which has been good too.
