If theyre close enough that the knife "lunge" kicks in then they do seem to just zip through your shots and get the cheap kill in.

I've tried to play Campaign a few times, and it is unplayable. This is on a E6300 @2.8GHz, 2GB or ram and an ATi 4890.
Are you on windows 7 ? did you do the sound card tick box fix ?
yea the knife sucks, i do not know why they make the knife zoom forwards like that, seems like of stupid. The best knife is the counter strike knife that takes loads of hits before the person dies or if you use secondary it is very slow but can take one or two hits.
The 1 hit kill isn't the problem. Its the combination of the ridiculous heat seeking lunge and the fact the knife isn't a weapon in its own right and is instead just an instakill button. If you actually had to switch to the knife, which would take considerably longer than it does at the moment, knife wouldn't be anywhere near as bad.

Yes, Windows 7. I don't know of any fixes, so no, other than adding a few graphics tweaks to the config.
Not sure if this has already been said. It looks like they have found a fix for the stuttering, although i still have to do snd_restart at the start of every map to prevent the sound from being broken. The stuttering is gone for me.

Untick where it is highlighted in yellow and set the default quality to 48khz dvd quality. I can even set the fov to 80 now and it dose not glitch when i run or shoot someone, except for usual lag.

I'm upgrading my pc tomorrow. I want to keep all my settings \ achievements etc. Is it all held on the Activision servers and will be restored when I reinstall or do I have to back up some kind of folder then copy and paste over?
