why do PC gamers find the need to restrict servers like this ?

Why not just play the game as it was intended instead of trying to turn it into something its not !!

COD is not a war sim ! its an arcade shooter. Go play Arma if you want more realism.
 
Or better still, i'll play the game I paid for on the PC I paid for however i want to. :rolleyes:

Why do PC gamers feel the need to stomp on anyone who sometimes might want something a little different in their game.

I play regular CoD all the time, i also play ProMod, and i sometimes play Tactical Games, I like the fact I can have a variation. :)

It is nice to hop onto MW2 where it is all so much simpler.

Quite honestly I would be happy for MW3 to have matchmaking on the PC again. (Yes even p2p. It still works better than the dedicated servers of Black Ops.)
 
Lobby system like Left 4 Dead would be nice, where you can throw dedicated servers into the pool (but not set silly game parameters) including the ability to keep servers private unless your in the lobby which means you get a better chance of a decent host.

I keep giving this game chances to convince me that I will eventually enjoy it as much as I once did (and occasionally still do) Counterstrike: Source, but again and again it ****in fails to do so. The same has been so for other 'best fps shooter ever' buckets of crap that have been released since CS:S.

I have therefore decided to omit gaming from my PC usage altogether and convert my rig into a nice, humble and smaller HTPC/Media pc to simply hold my documents, music, movies and TV programs, and replace my monitor with a big ass TV. Something that won't make me bash all my hardware against one another in constant fits of indescribable rage.

Sad as it sounds, I already feel relieved of a major source of negativity in my daily life :|

Yup I'm done with it too.

The SP lags, the MP lags and I can only have a decent game in the combat training mode :/

I've given them a fair ammount of time to sort it out but its ****.

When I have had a good couple of games on it, it's been great.

I've heard there is problems with dual core rigs which is why I think I'm having the problems but that is no excuse for the massive lag I'm getting.

I can start it up in Combat Training mode and it lags like a bitch, after playing for a while it gets better and smoother the longer I play (2-3 maps) this isn't acceptible imo and it looks like the days of playing COD clans is well and truly gone as I dread to think what it would be like playing a match like this!

Well done Treyarch, you ****ing muppets.
 
How is there problems on dual cores? Haven't they been the 'norm' for about 3 years now?

Winds me up, If i were making a game i would make it work :@
 
No idea but looking for answers and also reading this thread there seems to be problems where everyones lag has greatly reduced but people on DC's are still lagging like ****.

ea activision whatever they will milk your cash if they want it . what worries me is there isnt no new fps for a year and that will be a rehash when it comes out. fps is in a hole. please dont say bfbc2 cause that just has better graphics and theyre are as many noob playing that as this. bf3 will be a blend of bc2 so its not looking great fps wise.

someone needs to make the pc original again and it wont be the cash monkeys of poeple like ea and activision as they have theyre mould made.
 
I'm unsure what to make of it atm.

I love playing it, yet I do think they've really over-exaggerated the whole prestige system, 14 levels... come on. But the gameplay and maps are pretty fun.

It's by no means CoD4 but it's fresh, I'm not really bothered about using the same engine. the engines mechanics work relatively well but they've executed it badly with release bugs and poor performance.
