Exactly, I avoided the PC version like the plague but bought MW2 on the xbox. might get it on xbox also this time if it gets cheap enough like last time but PC day one for me.

I wouldn't order anything from tesco if you want it on release day. Only recently received my alien bluray box set that I pre ordered months ago, plenty still waiting too afaik.

They don't need to reinvent the wheel every year and I wouldn't want them to. If something works very well as the MW engine and basic gameplay undoubtedly does, making radical changes for the sake of it risks ballsing it up.

mate, im not asking them to reinvent every year. its been 3 years using the same engine, same gameplay, same everything but just different scripts for single player campaign and new levels, weapons and..... thats it.
be nice if they implemented coop in main campaign mode for once but nope no sign of that. that would be a start.
well the game is on consoles as well
i wouldn't expect them to make a new engine for it till the next gen of consoles are here
imo the engine makes the game, change that engine and it will change the whole feel of the game, all cod games have that same feel and spacial awareness purely because of the engine, they refine and tune the engine with each release but an overhaul is not needed.
if you dont like the engine or the direction the game takes play the new bf series or mh, people play cod because they love the feel and way the game plays, that is a majour factor donated by the engine, i want another cod game not a new series form the creators of cod.

Isn't the Call of Duty 4 engine based off of the Quake III Arena engine?
yea it is actually. just shows how outdated COD really is. im sure WOW is more up to date then COD

why do you want a new COD game when the others are fine as it is? whats wrong with mw2? why make black ops? same game different skins and textures all for £40? like i said, COD are just as bad as fifa games where each year, fifa just update the squads and reskin the menu's. thats it. COD pretty much the same.
well its your money mate you buy whatever you like with it but for what essentially is a "mod" of COD4, £40? no thanks.
here is a prime example of what i mean by wasting money on a mod. http://www.realitymod.com/ take a look at that mod, completely transforms bf2 into a different game and guess how much that cost. nout.
the guys from PR have made a similar effort if not more than black ops, world and war and MW2 have on their "mods" of cod4
never paid £40 for a cod game and never will, costs me £25.
new single player new higher res textures, new back story and guns, new features, i have no reason to replace mw2 but for dedicated servers so i am.
personally id say £25 for 12 months of multiplayer gaming isnt bad atall, i know the recipe works so i feel safer investing around £2.08p a month in it.
i invested in bfbc2 and hated it, lost more money on that than anything else.
