Gave up deciding where to pre-order this from and just went with Steam in the end. Pre-loading now.

yeah, VAC is just about 100% better than PB! PB is a pain to setup, it updates about once every 5 months.. VAC is integrated and you never see or hear from it again! (unless you hack of course!)

Plus if there are OCuK servers (and OCuK friends servers) admins will be online and there shall be minimal trouble! :D

in terms of actually catching hackers they're about the same, ie totally useless for anything but old public hacks.


vac is simply less hassle to maintain for those who continually have "software problems" but for most people PB is just as hassle free.

make of that what you will.

Mainly due to the fact there was no server admins to deal with the hackers there and then. It didnt help much to know while your being aimbotted to death, hey, well atleast he will ''eventually'' have his game baned. With dedicated servers, the admins will take care of the cheaters there and then so not to ruin your game, and VAC will hopefully ban them once it's picked up.

With MW2 it only bans them a while after they have cheated, and by then you will have played loads of differet matches and be more occupied with the guy who is now aimbotting you. And so it goes on:D
 
wise move goon any clan that doesnt involve this game aint gunna be playing much over the next yr ;)

hoping its as good as cod 4 and we get mod tools quick so i can get some modders on my server :D
 
Confirmation of lean has pretty much sold me on this game, looking forward to it now. Makes you realise what an absolute pile of **** MW2 was.
 
I'm still glad I got MW2 on console game. That's what it was. This sounds like they've actually made an effort with the PC version so I'm going back to my preferred control method.
 
I'm kind of in 2 minds as to whether I should buy this on PC or PS3. I just hope my PC can run this good enough if I decide to follow that route. I'll probably end up buying it on both as my mates are all on PS3 and i prefer PC.
