MW2 has a number of negative issues which Black Ops promises to fix for a start. The developers listened to the community and seem to have given us what we asked for. And I don't think the comparison to football games stands up to scrutiny, the amount of work which goes into modern CoD games is immense.
 
I know allot of people didn't like MW2 but once i got past the lack of servers I quite enjoyed it and felt i got my moneys worth out of it, even the map packs!
 
The thing is when you play MMO's the cost of most games including multiplayer don't even phase you, I probably would buy CoD if it was £50 and was made to the same quality.

I have an Iyama Prolight 26" which I got brand new for £180. It's rated at 2MS and IMO rocks. Why spend a £1000 on an IPS panel when you're not a graphic designer / need the viewing angles / deep blacks?

Completly agree. Probably have 10 hours on the MOH and would sell it if I could. I have 500+ hours on MW2 so it's well worth £40!

I disagree, in COD4 I often got frustrated with large servers with 30+ players. What happens is you just get loads of spamming noobs which detract from any kind of strategy / skill.

As a side, I play in the [HaX] clan so if anyone wants to sort any clan matches (we have our own blackops server) let me know.
 
Yea I agree with the 25 vs 25 games on some maps on cod4 did detract from any kind of strategy.

But equally I didint like the 6vs6 multiplayer games on MW2! Felt too small like playing un unpolpulated game.

10vs10 some thing in that region would be good.
 
Guess it depends on the map size really. Assume you played ground war? Apart from the lag I persoanlly felt that the maps were overloaded in a 10v10.
 
well thats the thing. you know that with proper dedis you going to have 9v9 ranked servers or less. also 12v12 unranked until mod tools are out so this can be made bigger.

so wheter you want 5v5 or 12v12 there will be most things catered for and even more once tools are out to up the player slots.

my dl just finished all done sweet took about 30mins

you cant compare mw2 as that wasnt dedis.
 
i suppose when you think back to mw2 any more players it would get ridiculous.. spawn/die/spawn/die even faster.. only way to tell what MP will be like is when it's released i suppose.

I only used to play 12v12, so much more fun! (on CoD4)

Thanks for the link but WOW what a rubbish website. I just spent the last ten minutes trying to buy it and their reCAPTHA system is the worst I've ever seen. It simply will not allow me to buy it! I've never seen such utterly illegible words. I'll have to buy it somewhere else. I might email them to let them know they're losing sales because of their awful system that does not work properly.
 
reCAPTCHA? I've ordered from shopto a number of times this year with no problems - they have always delivered the next day too.

This.

I actually prefer the smaller player numbers in MW2 because you always feel more closely involved in the match and strategy plays much more of a role than if the server is so crowded that an enemy is always easy to find.

Some might say, just join a smaller server then, but if you do that then there is no guarantee it will be full. That is one of the good things about MW2's much maligned matchmaking system. If you join a match you know it will be full, and if someone leaves, someone else will join soon after.

I think for this reason, and the fact I like many of the maps a lot, I will continue to play MW2 after Black Ops has come out. Which I will prefer, I don't know yet :)

That's what happens when you design maps for 18 players on the console then increase the player count for pc but don't increase the size of the maps.
