COD Black Ops looks pretty good on PC

"Conclusion – If you were a big fan of Modern Warfare and World At War disappointed you, you’ll likely face a similar fate with Black Ops in regards to Modern Warfare 2. This isn’t a run and gun multiplayer. It’s a lot more difficult to get kills and the level environments are perfectly suited for “camping”. It’s likely going to elicit some angry bouts of rage from various young teenage boys on YouTube who are outraged and disappointed that they can no longer run around guns-a-blazin’ and win a good amount of matches while doing so.

On the other hand, this is also going thoroughly please a huge amount of Call Of Duty players with it’s clever new features, attention to detail, massive depth and overall enjoyment."

Just buy it on Steam if you want it that desperately, saves the hassle and the dissapointment if they run out of stock when you get there. Otherwise buy a boxed copy online today with next day delivery. :cool:
 
Still in 2 minds about this, hated cod4 multi..Mw2 was just pathetic and more of the same but with fewer players...and laggier. Bah :(

Let me guess, you are one of those run and gun teenagers... :p

I really hope it is true tbh. If it actually feels like an achievment to get kills like MOH, the original Call of Duty and CSS (and CS1.6) do then it's much more entertaining then the run and gun games that Quake 3, Unreal Tournament and the more recent games in the COD series.

This is exactly what I'm hoping for - it's also the reason I haven't bought a CoD since 2. Should be great :D
 
Mine just arrived as well :D so looks like Royal Mail were instructed to hold back until today for delivery as expected.

7.38GB single DVD (MW2 was on 2 DVD's) so it must be highly compressed data.

Registered the serial number on Steam & pre-loading now as Valve allow this I think on Steamworks retail copies :D

I'm a crafty defensive player anyway, so this sounds good to me. I'm sick of run & gun UMP noobs! Cry it up rushers!

Yeah TBH if the maps are too big then I will stick to COD4 & MW2 which has more immediacy to it than the big maps of World at War for my money.
