Pre-order: http://store.steampowered.com/app/42700/
Only available from one host? lol EA, you really have no difficulties in reaching new depths of gayness.
Only paid £22 for my copy of Black Ops. Hopefully the pre-order will arrive early.
£40 on STEAM
No, just no.
people give servers too much praise
i know clan servers and the clans cheat
most of them do.
its hard to find a trusted admin
its also VAC cheat system
as with every game they say theyll try to kill out the hackers
but after launch they dont do anything
btw - fyi - all mw2 cheats work on steam for BOps
If I buy it I think I'll buy it outside steam this time. By the looks of the steam prepurchase page, it doesn't have VAC btw, or it would say, same with steamworks, which are both a shame, I despise Punkbuster.
The following source seems to support these things though, so meh: http://www.codblackopsblog.com/call-of-duty-black-ops-pc-faq/
Retail is only £29.99 thats where my money has already goneI won't be buying from Steam at £39.99 that's for sure.
I love Steam, and they do some fantastic deals quite regularly, but they absolutely suck at pre-order prices.
P.S. Why is MW2 still £39.99 on Steam?
*Conspiracy theory*
They've probably not confirmed that it uses Steamworks on the purchase page hoping that peeps who prefer their games on Steam (like most of us) pay the inflated Steam price, when in fact the retail version does use Steamworks. There's even a thread confirming it somewhere on the Steam forums.
Edit - here's the thread, although not official I'm sure it would have been debunked by now: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1524503
If it's the same engine they've used since COD2 it'll be average in some places and horrible in others. Needs a serious update.
