So let me get this straight. You'd of been quite willing to fork out another £30-40 for a game that would essentially be an update of MW2 (or a mod of MW) when the original was already insanely overpriced?

MW2 with a load of new maps, tweaked gameplay, lean, dedicated servers? YES!

Ironically MW2 is much less laggy than this even though it uses p2p.

this sounds more of a MP related issue than of SP.

It isn't fully smooth in SP either. Nor are the menus or server browser etc. smooth, even the mouse pointer doesn't move smoothly :D

By the way I have turned vsync off in the game's options if anyone is wondering.

Unfortunately i dont think treyarch released a beta tester did they?

which means ppl will have to wait for an update, but definately sounds like an latency issue.

Plus the game is running as smooth as can be if im totally honest, not getting any lag or anything :S
 
So for those who have the retail DVD can you activate through Steam with a product ID and download it? Asking, as my DVD drive died over the weekend :(

It seems to have undergone little rigorous in-house QA testing because there are so many things wrong which just jump out at you, you wonder how they weren't fixed before release.
 
Hey, Before I played I got a message on steam advising me to defragment the game file or it would effect performance. Did everybody do this? I havent had any framerate or lag issues what so ever and Im actually enjoying the single player which im suprised at. all in all I pretty happy with this purchase :D
 
All the problems you guys are getting is to do with steam, not the actual game. If you notice the console gamers are having no problems whatsoever. Steam say they are on to it and there should be a patch by tonight. It is using to much cpu power, or there is a memory leak. Just have to wait and hope i'm afraid guys.

This is pretty much how I'd see it. SP is playable though not perfect, MP is horrible.

It's bound to be a Steam issue, no doubt it will be fixed soon :)
